Chapter 279: Reality Show
Aurora was half-awake, and Sophia's words made her even more confused. "What?"
"First, turn on the TV. Summer Loren is currently on a live reality show," Sophia exclaimed, even more excited and anxious than Aurora.
Aurora immediately woke up. She hurried to the living room, turned on the TV, and found the reality show Sophia mentioned.
As soon as she switched to the reality show, Summer's handsome face appeared on the screen.
On the show, Summer was wearing a baseball cap, Martin boots, harem pants, and a hoodie, looking very casual yet stylish, with an international flair.
Especially Summer's eyes, they were really charming.
The show featured a group of five to ten-year-old kids engaging in outdoor activities, dealing with various unexpected situations. It advocated for releasing children's nature.
There were a total of five groups on the show, with Summer and Loren paired together. Currently, their group was the most popular.
Loren dressed similarly to Summer, but her outfit was in more vibrant colors.
Aurora was stunned for a moment before realizing that what Summer said last night was true. These two kids had really entered the entertainment industry.
Summer and Loren were John's sons. With the Lewis Group recently declaring bankruptcy, their entry into the entertainment industry had naturally garnered significant attention. From the moment they debuted, they had been the focus of considerable interest.
The reality show, which was originally lukewarm, was now completely on fire.
The number of people watching reality shows is increasing. Since it was a live broadcast, it felt more authentic. The kids' reactions in real-time also reflected their upbringing.
Summer was gentlemanly and polite, while Loren was mischievous but moral. With their intelligence and Summer's training on the island, the reality show competition was like child's play for them.
Online, there were many fans commenting on how adorable the two children were and expressed a strong desire to take them home, and many even discussed in the comment section how to have such handsome and cute children.
While some commented that the Lewis family went bankrupt and now relied on the kids to make money.
During the commercial break, Aurora called Summer. She said, "Baby, Mommy saw you and Loren on TV. My son is awesome, photogenic, and super handsome. You two will definitely win first place."
Aurora would never belittle or blame her children; that wasn't her parenting philosophy.
Summer and Loren participating in the reality show must have been well-considered, and from the starting point, it was good. Her babies were so great; how could she bear to blame them?
She didn't care about the online criticism of her and John. As long as her son was happy, that was enough.
Summer said on the phone, "Mommy, Loren and I will definitely win first place."
Loren's voice also came through, "Mommy, we are your and Daddy's sons, with excellent genes. We are definitely awesome."
"Nonsens." Aurora laughed. "You two are putting your daddy and me in a bad light. People online are accusing us of exploiting minors."
Summer said, "Mommy, they are just jealous of you. Not everyone can have sons as handsome and intelligent as us."
Aurora was in a great mood. "Who's your manager?"
Summer replied, "Lucas."
Aurora was worried. "How's the pay? Don't let yourselves get cheated."
Summer said, "Mommy, don't worry. When have Loren and I ever been at a disadvantage?"
Just then, John's call came in. Aurora told the kids, "Have fun, friendship first, competition second. Your daddy is calling."
"Okay, bye, Mommy," Loren said. "Mommy, say hi to Daddy for us."
"Okay!" Aurora hung up with a smile and answered John's call.
Aurora asked, "When are you coming back?"
John had been away for a week.
"Soon." John asked routinely, "Aurora, how's your recovery? Does the wound still hurt?"
It wasn't the first time John had asked this. The simplest daily concer warmed the heart.
"I'm fine." Aurora thought of the kids and said, "By the way, if you have time, turn on the TV and watch some domestic variety shows. Summer and Loren are on a reality show. The kids said they want to make money to support the family. John, we've sunk to the point of exploiting minors. Aren't you ashamed?"
"Shameful!" John's low laugh came from the other end. "Our two sons haven't been raised in vain after all. It's good for them to have some fun. If they get more bookings, the two of us can retire early."
Aurora chuckled. "Are you even their real dad?"
After the joke, they got back to the main topic.
Aurora asked, "Did you see Richard?"
"Yes, but he got away," John said. "Jack is with Richard, and he's safe for now."
Just then, there was a commotion on the other end, and Aurora heard Tyler's voice. "Mr. Lewis, Tony and his men are here."
John said, "Aurora, I have to go. Remember to eat on time and rest well. I'll be back soon."
Before Aurora could say anything, John had already hung up.
Aurora's mind was in turmoil for a few minutes. Thinking about how John had survived several crises, she believed he would get through this one too. Then she clamed down.
When facing bad situations, once you consider the worst outcome, you become fearless.
"Aurora, Loren and Summer are on TV." Ashley rushed in from outside. She had been shopping for clothes for Trey and Jax and saw the reality show on the mall's TV, so she hurried back.
The commercial break ended, and the reality show continued.
Aurora said, "I'm watching it!"
"Watching what?" Lori came downstairs, stretching, and saw Summer and Loren on TV. She exclaimed, "How did they get on TV?"
"Summer said they're on a reality show to make money for the family," Aurora said bluntly.
Lori gave a thumbs up. "Aurora, those kids are so young. It's pitiful that they have to take on the responsibility of supporting the family."
Aurora smiled and said nothing.
After watching the reality show for a few minutes, Lori complained, "Summer has been trained. Competing with those kids is too easy."
Seeing the kids' popularity, Lori seemed to have found a way to make money. "Aurora, how about I become the manager for my nephews? Summer and Loren are so popular. We should make some money while they're hot. I've heard that the entertainment industry is the easiest place to make money."
Aurora rolled her eyes. "Weren't you just feeling sorry for them?"
Lori shamelessly said, "Not anymore. Aurora, I think it's a good idea for Summer and Loren to enter the entertainment industry."
"I just want them to have fun." Aurora stood up. "I'm going to check on Trey and Jax."
"Aurora, I head that your rival is in Silvercrest City," Lori took the opportunity to negotiate. "I'll help you deal with her if you let me be Summer and Loren's manager for three days."
Aurora's eyes narrowed slightly. "Is Sandra really in Silvercrest City?"
