Chapter 85 Taking Over White Group

Hearing Aurora's voice, Emily lifted her gaze immediately.

Fear flickered in Emily's eyes when she saw Aurora.

"Sis, I messed up. I really did. Please let me go. I won't do it again," Emily begged, crawling to Aurora, clutching the railing, and kneeling. "It's freezing here, there are rats and snakes. I'm terrified. I don't want to be locked up here. Sis, please."

Emily knew she couldn't rely on the Taylor family or Percy anymore. If she wanted out, she had to beg Aurora for mercy.

She had bullied Aurora for over a decade, never imagining she'd be on her knees begging her one day.

Aurora looked down at Emily. She was soaking wet, her hair a mess, her voice trembling with fear, and her eyes full of dread. Aurora saw it all clearly.

Aurora was puzzled. Emily had only been locked up for one night, and she was already this scared?

Aurora recalled what John had said. It seemed he had arranged for someone to "take special care" of Emily here.

Otherwise, how could there be rats and snakes in such a place?

Emily looked terrified. If she stayed locked up for a few more days, she might have a mental breakdown.

But why should Aurora let her out?

"No," Aurora said coldly. "Why should I let you out? You didn't let me off the hook then, and you showed no mercy last night. Why should I let someone who harmed me go free?"

"Sis, I was stupid. You said you wanted to see Mark, so I brought him. I didn't expect him to have such intentions," Emily argued.

"Is this how you apologize?" Aurora said expressionlessly. "Then you better stay here."

With that, Aurora turned and walked out.

"Aurora," Emily panicked, grabbing the iron door, standing up, and shouting, "I admit it. I bribed Mark to harm you. Five years ago and last night, it was all me. And all the things I've done to you over the years, I know I was wrong. I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?"Aurora stopped, a bit surprised to hear Emily admit everything.

When Emily saw Aurora stop, her face lit up with hope. "Sis, you forgive me, right? You'll drop the charges, right?"

Aurora looked at Emily coldly. "Since you entered the White Family when you were eight, for over a decade, our conflicts and grudges are countless. Emily, I know you very well. Even if you break down now and admit your mistakes, your hatred for me will only grow. Once you're out, you'll seek revenge."

Emily was stunned. She indeed hated Aurora, wishing to kill her. Her fright and embarrassment last night were all thanks to Aurora. Once she got out, she would make Aurora pay.

But she didn't expect Aurora to see right through her.

Aurora said lightly, "So you can stay in there. I'm not kind enough to let someone who harmed me out to harm me again."

"Aurora, what do you want?" Emily shouted hysterically. "You vicious woman, I've begged you so much. Do you really want me to die in here? You bitch. When I get out, I won't let you go."

Aurora sneered, "Then let's talk when you get out. I'll be waiting."

With that, Aurora left, and Emily's angry curses gradually faded away.

Leaving the police department, Aurora hadn't even reached her car when a bruised and battered Nicole charged at her, cursing.

"Aurora, you vicious woman! Let my daughter out and drop the charges, or I'll never let you off."

Nicole grabbed Aurora, acting like a madwoman, raising her hand to hit her.

Nicole couldn't count on Percy, but she couldn't let Emily go to jail.

"Back off." Aurora pushed Nicole away, her voice icy. "If you want to end up like Emily and sit in there, go ahead and hit me."

Nicole was intimidated by Aurora's aura and didn't dare to hit her, glaring at her with fierce eyes.

"I regret not kicking you out back then." Nicole's eyes were red with anger. "You're the one who exposed Emily's background, right? Aurora, how can you be so malicious?"

"I learned it from you, Aunt Clark," Aurora mocked. "Satisfied with my performance?"

Nicole was so angry she almost spat blood, her blood pressure rising.

"Instead of throwing a fit at me, you should get Emily a good lawyer. Maybe she can get a lighter sentence." Aurora pretended to be surprised, as if she just remembered. "Oh, I almost forgot. Aunt Clark, you're in trouble yourself. Tsk tsk, seeing you all battered and bruised is really satisfying."

"You, you, you..." Nicole was trembling with rage.

Aurora smiled and drove away.

This time, Aurora would fight Emily to the end.

Aurora went to the hospital to see Jack, who had woken up. He had just had surgery and was still very weak.

After seeing Jack, Aurora returned to the Robinson family.

Before she even entered, she heard Loren's laughter.

Today, Ashley had picked up Loren.

Loren ran happily to Aurora when she saw her. "Aurora!"

Ashley also smiled. "Aurora, you haven't eaten yet, right? There's food in the kitchen for you. I'll have someone heat it up."

"Thank you, Ashley." Aurora hugged Loren and asked Ashley, "Has Godfather come back?"

Loren replied, "He's in the study. He said if you need him, just go to the study."

Aurora said, "Okay."

It seemed Kevin knew she would come to see him.

Aurora went upstairs and opened the study door. Kevin was working.

"Kevin."

"Aurora, you're here." Kevin put down his work. "Was Jack's surgery successful?"

"Everything went well," Aurora said. "Godfather, thank you for your support this time."

Kevin naturally knew what Aurora was referring to.

Being able to call Chief Perez immediately after her incident was a favor Aurora would always remember.

Kevin smiled. "Aurora, you're my daughter now. As a father, I naturally have to protect my child. We're family, no need to be so polite."

Aurora hesitated and said, "Godfather, I want to know, when I hit Leo, you didn't bother me because of John, right?"

Kevin was taken aback. "You know?"

"Yes." Aurora smiled self-deprecatingly. "I don't know if it's luck to be noticed by Mr. Lewis."

Their breakup seemed clean, but now it seemed Aurora owed John a lot, and she couldn't repay it.

"Aurora, don't belittle yourself," Kevin said. "Feelings aren't determined by status or background. By the way, your dad came by this afternoon."

Aurora's heart tightened. "What was he here for?"

"From what he said, he plans to hand over White Group to you."
