Chapter 26 The Humiliation Came Too Quickly
Kevin's actions shocked Dean and Nicole.
Aurora was also very surprised and confused.

Seeing that Kevin wasn't here to seek revenge, Emily blurted out angrily, "How stupid! His own son was beaten, but he still comes to apologize."
Her voice was just loud enough for everyone in the hall to hear.
How dare Emily call Kevin stupid?
There weren't many people in Silvercrest City who dared to say such a thing.
Kevin turned gloomy, exuding an aura of authority with anger. "Where did this nobody come from?"
Emily regretted her words as soon as she said them, but it was too late to take them back. Facing Kevin's intimidating gaze, she was so scared that she hid behind Nicole, trembling.
Instead of seeing Aurora being reprimanded, she ended up bringing trouble upon herself.
Emily was too scared to speak. Dean, who always doted on his youngest daughter, Emily, wished he could sever ties with her at that moment and pretend not to know her.
Dean said nervously, "Mr. Kevin Robinson, my youngest daughter speaks without thinking. Please forgive her and don't take it to heart."
Kevin's face remained cold as he snorted, "Mr. White, I heard that your youngest daughter was supposed to marry into the Lewis family but ended up marrying intothe Taylor family. She looks pretty, but she doesn't seem very smart."
Choosing the Taylor family over the Lewis family was afoolish choice.
"Mr. Kevin Robinson, you are right." Dean was completely at a loss, agreeing with whatever Kevin said without understanding the underlying meaning.
Seeing that Dean was also clueless, Kevin didn't waste any more time.
He just thought Dean was foolish as well.
Kevin stared at Dean, "Mr. White, I just heard you say that you no longer recognizes Miss White as your daughter?"
It was too late for Dean to regret now. The news of his severing ties with Aurora had already been made public.
Dean could only brace himself and sigh, "Perhaps my fate with Aurora as father and daughter has come to an end. I have already severed ties with her."
Hearing this, Kevin clapped his hands in delight and couldn't help but say, "Good."

If Aurora really became Kevin's adopted daughter, her status would be higher than Emily's.
Emily was so jealous she could go mad. How could she tolerate Aurora stepping on her?

Jack was speaking the truth.
Dean felt ashamed and embarrassed.
Nicole avoided Aurora's gaze.
Aurora wasn't stupid. A trap might fall from the sky instead of a pie.
However, the title of the Robinson family's adopted daughter would indeed allow her to humiliate these people.
'Didn't Dean want to sever ties with me?

Kevin smiled with satisfaction. "Great. I'll have someone prepare a grand adoption banquet so everyone knows you are my daughter, and I finally have a daughter."

Emily's eyes were red with jealousy.
Nicole was both envious and angry, giving Dean a hard nudge.

"Mr. White, didn't you just say Aurora is no longer your daughter?" Kevin interrupted Dean, feigning surprise. "Mr. White, your memory can't be that bad, can it? Did you forget?"
This made Dean very embarrassed, and Aurora's smile deepened, though it lacked warmth.
Jack mocked, "Now that Aurora is going to be the Robinson family's adopted daughter, you want to cozy up to her? Isn't that slapping yourself in the face? Doesn't it hurt?"
Jackwas truly satisfied.
Dean's face turned all sorts of colors.
Aurora sneered and said, "Mr. White, this is my last time returning to the White family. Once I step out of this door, I have nothing to do with the White family anymore. Please remember what you just said."
Jack mocked. "People shouldn't be too realistic. Sometimes the retribution comes too quickly. Now you want to reconsider Aurora as your daughter? I'm telling you, it's too late. When you severed ties with her, you were very decisive. So please don't bother her in the future."
Kevin glanced at Dean and said to Aurora, "The car is parked at the door. Let's go and find a place to discuss the adoption banquet. You can make any requests you have."
Aurora didn't want to stay in this place any longer.
Holding the mahogany box and enduring the pain in her waist, she walked out of the White Villa.
Dean wanted to say something but stopped, not having the face to call Aurora back.
