Chapter 159 Give Him a Lesson
John bolted to the hotel, leaving Aurora at the hospital to look after Helen.
Since Helen was in a coma, and no one had a clue when she'd wake up.
Aurora could only hang around the door and peek in every now and then.
"Ms. White, it's getting late. You should head home and get some rest," Gary said politely as he approached. "The nurses and doctors here will keep an eye on her."
Aurora knew sticking around wouldn't help much.
"Mr. Collins, is there really nothing you can do?"
"It all depends on her willpower," Gary replied matter-of-factly. "But don't lose hope. She might wake up in a couple of days. These things happen. You go handle your stuff, and leave this to me."
Since Aurora had admitted earlier that Summer and Loren were her kids, she had to explain things to them and give them an account.
"Alright." Aurora took one last look at the ward and then left.
At the hospital entrance.
Just as Aurora opened the car door, she spotted Daniel. A guy wrapped in bandages like a mummy. Who else could it be but Daniel?
Daniel was with Jimmy, and they both saw Aurora. The moment Jimmy saw Aurora, she was fuming. "You vicious woman! How dare you have someone beat up Daniel? This isn't over!"
"Mom." Daniel stopped Jimmy.
His face was swollen, and his hand was in a cast, looking pretty ridiculous.
Daniel's gaze at Aurora was complicated, and he forcibly pulled Jimmy away.
Aurora felt baffled. She had someone beat Daniel up, yet he didn't come to trouble her and even avoided her like a coward?
Anyway, that suited her just fine.
If she had known that beating up Daniel would make him behave, she would have done it sooner.
Aurora started the car and called Ashley. Knowing Loren was with the Robinson Family while Summer was with Todd at the accident scene, she drove to the Robinson Mansion first.
The sky gradually darkened. Aurora's car cruised along the highway, where there were few cars.
At a traffic light, Aurora stopped to wait. As the red light turned green, she was about to start the car when suddenly, a thunderous sound echoed from the front of the car, and the front of the car sank. The front tire had blown out.
Aurora frowned and got out to check. Suddenly, in the rearview mirror, she saw a woman in black clothes and pants, smiling coldly at her.
Feeling anxious, Aurora quickly dodged into the nearby bushes. The woman was approaching, with a knife in her hand.
In the middle of the night, where did this lunatic from?
Aurora wanted to curse. Who was so eager to take her life? Daniel? Not likely.
Seeing there was no movement for a while, Aurora bravely looked up and saw the woman walking across the road.
Under the orange streetlight, Aurora saw the woman clearly. She was wearing a masquerade mask, her lips bright red with a bloodthirsty smile. She felt a sense of familiarity but couldn't remember where she had seen her before.
"Aurora, come out obediently, and I might give you a quick death."
The woman knew her name? It was definitely aimed at her.
Aurora's heart pounded. She wasn't stupid; she wouldn't go out to die.
Seeing the woman getting closer, Aurora quickly picked up a stone and threw it to the side. The woman was distracted by the noise, and Aurora took the opportunity to run.
Her phone was left in the car, so Aurora couldn't call for help. She could only run deeper into the woods. Fortunately, Aurora was somewhat familiar with the terrain in this area.
The woman realized and quickly chased into the woods.
"Stop running. You can't escape," the woman laughed behind her, sounding very pleased.
The woman's laughter was seriously creepy.
Aurora didn't get far before she was out of breath. Leaning against a big tree, she shouted, "Who sent you to kill me? I don't even know you. We can talk this out."
The woman casually played with the knife in her hand.
"You messed with my man. You deserve to die." The woman's voice was filled with rage.
Aurora was panting from running, but the other woman wasn't even winded.
"Miss, there must be some mistake. I don't even know you. How could I have messed with your man? Even if you want to kill me, at least let me know why."
While stalling, Aurora was also conserving her strength and quickly thinking about which direction to run to shake off the woman.
The woman's Martin boots crunched on the ground, and hearing her footsteps, Aurora's heart skipped a beat as she slowly retreated.
Aurora said, "Calm down, okay? Don't be so impulsive. We're all adults. Killing is illegal. There's nothing that can't be resolved peacefully."
"You messed with my man. I'm going to kill you."
Aurora said, "Are you crazy? I don't even know you. How could I have messed with your man?"
"Enough talk. I'll cut your face first and see how you seduce him." The woman raised the knife and aimed it at Aurora's face.
Aurora was ready. As the woman approached, she grabbed some dirt from the ground and threw it at her, shouting, "Look at my pepper spray!"
The woman was tricked and instinctively raised her hand to block her eyes.
Aurora seized the opportunity to snatch the knife and kicked the woman into the nearby lake.
The woman realized she had been tricked and became furious.
"Bitch." The woman wiped the dirt off her head and swept her leg at Aurora, fast and precise.
Aurora was kicked in the stomach, flying two yards away and landing on the ground. She endured the pain and stood up, coldly smiling at the woman. "Is that all you got?"
The woman got even angrier. "You're done."
The woman threw a punch, her moves ruthless and professional.
Aurora had only practiced Taekwondo for self-defense, but in a life-and-death fight, she was no match.
After a few rounds, Aurora was at a disadvantage, pinned under the woman's foot.
"Aurora, you're not worthy of being his woman. Game over. Die now."
Aurora saw the Swiss Army knife in the woman's hand and was terrified. Just as the knife was about to pierce her chest, Aurora grabbed the woman's foot and used all her strength to topple her. The knife missed and stuck into the ground.
Aurora locked the woman's head with her legs and grabbed her foot. "Want my life? It's not that easy."
The woman locked Aurora's head with her legs too, and they rolled on the ground, fighting fiercely.
The woman tried to grab the knife, but Aurora wouldn't let her. She held the woman tightly even though she was almost exhausted, veins bulging on her forehead.
"Aurora, give up." The woman rolled with Aurora on the ground, deliberately making her hit a broken tree stump.
The pain in her waist was excruciating, and Aurora felt like her waist was about to break.
Aurora was exhausted and let go of the woman.
The woman quickly got up and picked up the knife. Her eyes filled with killing intent. "Die now."
Aurora was too weak to resist, her waist hurting so much she couldn't move.
Aurora was frustrated. She was just dating someone. Did it have to be this serious, risking her life? Who was this crazy woman? Was this another woman obsessed with John, so fierce and aggressive?
Aurora made a decision. If she made it back alive today, she was definitely going to "give John a good lesson," making sure he wouldn't dare to flirt with other women again.
