Chapter 67 Loren Teaches Daniel a Lesson
The more Aurora thought about it, the more terrifying it became.
Aurora didn't dare to think further.
That night, Aurora couldn't sleep.
The news of Aurora's accident quickly reached the White family, the Robinson family, and even Daniel.
Early the next morning, Daniel arrived with a bouquet of flowers, looking worried. He asked, "Aurora, are you hurt? What did the doctor say? How did the car accident happen?"
Daniel's arrival made Aurora feel uncomfortable. Coupled with worrying about John all night without any news, she was in no mood to be polite.
"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Taylor. I'm fine. Please leave."
Aurora bluntly issued him with an eviction order.
Daniel frowned and looked at her with deep affection. "Aurora, I heard you were hurt, and I was very worried. I was thinking, if something really happened to you, what would I do? Aurora, I realized I really love you and can't live without you."
Aurora was taken aback by the sudden sweet talk, then she sneered coldly. "Mr. Taylor, you are quite the romantic. If Emily heard this, I wonder what she would think."
"Aurora, can we not mention Emily?" Daniel continued to act deeply affectionate, looking at the wounds on Aurora's forehead and hands with a pained expression. "How did the car accident happen? Be more careful next time. Or maybe you shouldn't go to work anymore. You're the adopted daughter of the Robinson family, you don't need to work. Is the Robinson family not treating you well? Are they just putting on a show for others?"
The last sentence had a probing tone.
Daniel was testing Aurora's status in the Robinson family.
Aurora wasn't stupid and saw through Daniel's intentions immediately.
Aurora was originally just disappointed in Daniel, but now she was disgusted.
Looking at him, Aurora didn't want to say a word.
"Daniel, don't you have any shame? You're married and yet you're still harassing Aurora."
Sophia came in with breakfast, bringing Loren along.
Seeing Daniel, Sophia was filled with anger.
Daniel's face darkened, but seeing it was Sophia, the eldest daughter of the Garcia family, he had to suppress his anger.
"Miss Garcia, my relationship with Emily was a mistake. It wasn't what I wanted. I've always liked Aurora." Daniel looked at Aurora with gentle eyes. "I just want to make up for my past mistakes and start over with her."
"Dream on. How dare you, a married man, try to flirt with Aurora? Have some shame and leave her alone." Sophia was furious, standing up for Aurora. "Can't you see Aurora doesn't like you and is disgusted by you? How thick-skinned do you have to be to stay here?"
Sophia's words were like daggers to Daniel's heart. Any man with a bit of self-respect wouldn't be able to stand such insults.
Daniel suppressed his anger and said, "Miss Garcia, please watch what you're saying. This is between Aurora and me. It's none of your business."
Sophia was enraged. "You're harassing Aurora, so I must step in."
Aurora said coldly, "Sophia is right. Daniel, if you have any self-respect left, you shouldn't come here to humiliate yourself. Leave and take your things with you."
Daniel's intention had beento mend his relationship with Aurora, not to escalate the conflict. With Sophia there, it was impossible to reconcile with Aurora.
"Fine. Take care of yourself. I'll visit you another day." Daniel gave Sophia a cold look and turned to leave.
Loren, who had been silent, rolled his eyes and ran out of the room, catching up with Daniel.
"Uncle."
Loren tugged at Daniel's coat, his voice soft and sweet. He was so adorable that everyone who saw him would instantly like him.
Everyone, that is, except Daniel.
He recognized this child from the previous banquet.
"It's you. What are you doing here?"
Daniel was so angry with Sophia earlier that he didn't notice Loren.
"Uncle, are you blind? I was in the room just now." Loren pouted, full of disdain.
Did this brat just call him blind?
Daniel's face turned ugly, but with patients and doctors passing by in the hospital corridor, he couldn't exactly be seen to be arguing with a child.
Daniel suddenly realized something and stared at Loren. "You said you were in the room. What's your relationship with Aurora?"
Could he really be Aurora's illegitimate child?
Did Aurora really have a child out of wedlock?
Otherwise, why would this child be with Aurora?
"I'm an orphan. A bad man tricked me when I was little, and my sister took pity on me and adopted me." Loren's eyes started to well up with tears. "Uncle, my sister is very kind. You like her, right? Uncle, you're so handsome. I like you a lot. I want you and my sister to be together. I can help you win her over."
Hearing this, Daniel breathed a sigh of relief. So, it was an adoption.
Loren's words piqued Daniel's interest. Everyone loved flattery.
And everyone says that children don't lie. Hearing that Loren liked him, Daniel's anger dissipated. "How will you help me?"
"Women need to be wooed," Loren giggled, then suddenly squeezed his legs together. "Uncle, I need to go to the bathroom. Can you take me?"
Daniel frowned, and Loren said in his childish voice, "My sister loves men who are helpful. Uncle, you're so good-looking and you must be very kind."
This kid sure had a sweet mouth.
Seeing that Loren was really in a hurry, Daniel said, "Alright, I'll take you."
"Thank you, Uncle. You're so kind." Loren smiled, but a sly glint flashed in his eyes.
Daniel took Loren to the bathroom. "Go ahead."
"Uncle, can you help me take off my pants? I can't do it myself." Loren pretended to try but couldn't, looking like he was about to cry.
Daniel saw that the waistband was too tight and squatted down. "Alright, I'll help you."
Daniel reached out to help take Loren take off his pants, and just as he did, Loren suddenly said, "Uncle, I can't hold it anymore."
Before Daniel could react, a warm stream hit his face and the smell of urine filled his nose.
He had been peed on by a child.
Caught off guard, Daniel's face and clothes were covered in urine, and the smell was unbearable.
"Uncle, I'm sorry." Loren pulled up his pants and ran out.
"You brat!Stop right there." Daniel's face was dark with anger.
Loren ran to the bathroom door, turned back, and made a face at Daniel. "Hmph, you bullied my sister. My sister is mine. No one can bully her."
That was when Daniel realized he had been tricked by a child.
"You little brat, stop right there."
Daniel was furious, taking big strides forward toward Loren. This time, the boy couldn't escape and was caught.
"Dare to mess with me, you little brat? I'm going to teach you a lesson." Daniel was seething with anger.
Daniel raised his hand to hit Loren, but before he could, Loren started crying loudly.
"He's hitting me! The bad man is hitting me!"
