Chapter 30 What's Wrong with a Poor Boyfriend?
Aurora glanced at her phone and saw a message from Daniel. Following the message, she found Daniel's yacht.
Aurora boarded the yacht, her eyes coldly sweeping over the flowers and steak on the table.
"Daniel, what do you mean by inviting me here? Aren't you afraid Emily will find out?"
Daniel was indeed afraid of Emily finding out, which was why he chose this place.
"Aurora, you're still mad at me!" Daniel picked up a prepared gift and opened it with a smile. "Look, I specially prepared this for you."
Inside the gift box was a necklace.
On another yacht, Todd exclaimed, "Oh my God."
He was really unlucky to stumble upon Aurora meeting her ex-boyfriend.
If John found out, it would be a disaster.
"Todd, what did you find?"
John, wearing a mask and leaning on a cane, walked out from inside the yacht.
Todd stammered, "Nothing."
John frowned. "Give me the binoculars."
"Boss, you better not look." Todd swallowed hard. "I'm worried your heart can't take it."
John took the binoculars and looked, just in time to see Daniel holding Aurora's hand on the opposite yacht. They were having a candlelit dinner, enjoying the sea breeze. It was truly romantic.
John's face immediately darkened. He looked extremely unpleasant, with a "stay away" expression.
Todd's heart was trembling.
Todd wished he could slap himself. Why did he have to look?
"Boss, Rex's buyer has arrived." Sam came out from the yacht. "Tyler sent a message, stating Rex is also at the dock for a personal handover."
John, with a cold face, threw the binoculars to Todd and turned back into the yacht.
Todd patted his chest, gratefully looking at Sam. "Sam, you came just in time. Thanks."
Sam was completely confused.
Meanwhile, Daniel was still shamelessly saying sweet words to coax Aurora. "Aurora, the act is almost over. Stop it. Do you really think I believe you like that man? I like you and have promised you that once I take over the Taylor family, I will marry you."
"Daniel, are you dreaming, or are you still drunk?"
Aurora shook off Daniel and mocked, "I made it very clear before that we have nothing to do with each other. You can marry whoever you want. Also, if you dare to mess with Jack again, don't blame me for being ruthless."
"Aurora, don't be ungrateful." Daniel lost his patience, his face showing some anger. "The White family has already sever ties with you. Besides relying on me, who else can you rely on? You know Emily's temper very well, and you've offended the Robinson family. Do you think your poor boyfriend can help you?"
Daniel's tone was full of mockery and disdain.
That high-and-mighty attitude was just like Emily's.
Aurora stared at Daniel and said coldly, "When you were cowering in front of Leo, I didn't see you being so bold. Daniel, John dared to stand up for me and beat Leo. Would you dare? You don't even dare to offend the Robinson family, let alone Emily."
Daniel argued, "I was thinking of the bigger picture. Acting rashly will ruin my plan."
Aurora laughed. "It's the first time I've seen someone describe cowardice and fear so elegantly."
Daniel's face was a bit embarrassed. Remembering how he cowered in front of Leo and was mocked by Aurora, he became angry out of shame. "Aurora, you've offended the Robinson family. They will definitely come after you. If you just apologize, I can ask my dad to go to the Robinson family and settle it for you."
"Daniel, in your heart, I'm not as important as your ambition. You're not sincerely in love with me, so stop pretending to be affectionate. You're just unwilling to let go. If I were to be desperate for you, maybe you'd feel satisfied."
Aurora's words hit the nail on the head.
He was indeed unwilling.
Aurora quickly moved on to someone else and looked down on him, making him very unwilling.
After dating Aurora for a year without even touching her finger, how could he be willing to let someone else have such a beautiful Aurora?
Daniel had already calculated that with Aurora's feelings for him, as long as he coaxed her a little, she would be willing to be his mistress and wait for him.
Men all enjoyed the attention of two sisters fighting over them.
But he didn't expect Aurora to cut ties with him cleanly.
He underestimated Aurora.
Now that Aurora exposed his thoughts, Daniel's face naturally looked gloomy. He no longer humbled himself in front of Aurora.
"Aurora, you have the beauty that drives men crazy, let alone your intelligence and courage that men admire. Unfortunately, you have no background. In this Silvercrest City, without a background, you are nothing."
Daniel sneered, "You can choose to be with me and enjoy wealth and glory, or live a poor life with that loser. You only have this one chance."
Emily was beautiful but couldn't compare to Aurora in looks or brains.
Someone like Emily was best suited to be a wife.
But Aurora was best suited to be a man's right hand, making him even more powerful.
Aurora didn't hesitate and said, "Mr. Taylor, I hope youwon't disturb my happy life with my boyfriend from now on."
Leaving these words, Aurora turned and left the yacht.
"Aurora."
Aurora's straightforwardness stimulated Daniel's male ego. He grabbed Aurora's shoulder and blurted out, "As long as you stay with me, I'll divorce Emily immediately."
Aurora's eyes narrowed slightly.
Divorce?
She didn't believe it, nor did she care.
"Let go." Aurora was angry.
Daniel still didn't let go. Men had a desire to conquer, and such a man was also known as being a jerk.
"Aurora, why are you still being stubborn? I can give you..."
Before Daniel could finish his sentence, Aurora kicked him, sending him flying into the water with a splash.
"Better not mess with me again, or I'll kick you every time I see you."
"Aurora!"
Daniel struggled in the water, staring at Aurora's departing figure, his eyes filled with malice. He shouted angrily, "You'll regret this."
Aurora didn't look back. She wouldn't regret it.
She only regretted not seeing through Daniel sooner.
John had actually been watching with binoculars the whole time. Seeing Daniel being kicked into the water, he was in a very good mood and coldly ordered, "Let Daniel soak in the water for a while longer."
Todd immediately understood, smiling as he said, "Got it, boss. We'll make sure he soaks until dawn."
Todd thought, 'How dare Daniel flirt with Aurora? He was asking for death.'
Aurora had just stepped ashore when suddenly the dock lit up, and a dozen luxury cars drove over.
Aurora was puzzled. Trusting her instincts, she quickly hid to the side.
The luxury cars stopped, and dozens of bodyguards got out, creating a grand scene.
A middle-aged man got out of the car last, immediately surrounded by bodyguards holding umbrellas.
It wasn't raining, nor was the sun out. It was nighttime, and Aurora didn't understand why the bodyguards were holding umbrellas.
'Just for show?'
Aurora crouched behind a container on the dock, watching the middle-aged man. He looked familiar.
Aurora remembered. 'Isn't this Rex, the second-in-command of the Lewis family?'
She had seen him on an interview show.
Rumor had it that the Lewis family's head, Mr. Lewis, was crippled and disfigured in a car accident and wouldn't live long. Rex was the most likely to take over the Lewis family.
The Lewis family was a very complex family. The only direct bloodline was Mr. Lewis. If he really died, the other branches would definitely try to take over the Lewis family .
And Rex was the most ambitious.
Aurora didn't know much, but she wasn't completely ignorant.
Small families fought fiercely for benefits, let alone a big family like the Lewis family, where the struggle was even more intense.
With such a grand scene, there must be a big event about to happen.
