Chapter 107 Unblock Mr. Harriman

As the distance closed in, Jessica took a sharp breath.
Gabriel, just about to touch her lips, kept his dark gaze unchanged. Suddenly, he slightly tilted his head, his prominent nose brushing against her cheek, his nose tip reaching her ear as he whispered hoarsely, "They haven't left."
Jessica tensed all over. Her hand that was originally on Gabriel's chest was forced to rest between their bodies. She instinctively gripped his shirt tightly and closed her eyes.
Since the Twitter incident last time, there had been many people following her recently. Many were curious about her background, and there were also people sent by her opponents to keep an eye on her.
It was fine to take photo of her alone, but she couldn't involve Gabriel, let alone link her background to him!
Someone of his status shouldn't appear in her house. There weren't even proper security measures around. Any random car could park across the street, blatantly pointing cameras at her.
Nowhere to go, both forward and backward!
With time, Jessica found herself nestled against the car door in Gabriel's arms, unaware of how long she'd been in his suffocating yet comforting embrace.
Yet, the cold temperature of the car door behind her kept her last bit of clarity.
Only when she faintly heard a car from across the street driving away, unable to capture a clear shot of her face, did she snap back to reality. She wasn't sure if it had left or if it was looking for another angle to get a better shot. Anyway, she did hear the car move.
She immediately loosened the grip on Gabriel's shirt. "Did they leave? Can you let me go now?"
Gabriel released the hand that was around her waist.
As she sensed a slight relaxation in his grip, Jessica didn't hesitate. She deftly slid out from under his arm to the left, using her bag to shield her face. With caution, she scanned the street and its surroundings. After a moment of uncertainty, she looked at him, unsure if the danger had passed, then gestured toward her home while mouthing, "I'm heading back, goodbye!"
Gabriel watched her hurried departure, his clear and cold brows furrowing slightly.
In a moment, the lights in Jessica's house flickered to life. Gabriel stood erect by the car. His gaze shifted to the empty parking spot across the street where the commercial vehicle had been parked, his expression reverting to its customary coldness.
Nicholas had just returned home to have a rest when he suddenly received a call from Gabriel. He glanced at the time.
Why was he calling him so late?
In order to leave Harriman Entertainment within a year, Nicholas rubbed his tired eyes and quickly answered the phone.
On the other end of the line, Gabriel's tone was extremely flat, "Since Jessica is part of the cast invested by your company, from now until the end of filming, any illegally taken photos or videos of her should not appear in the media. Do you understand what I mean?"
Rubbing his eyes, Nicholas replied earnestly and efficiently, "Understood, completely understood! Actors on set have all signed confidentiality agreements. If any media dares to publicize leaked photos or violate the actors' privacy, we will pursue them with full force! I guarantee that no negative news or messy rumors will be associated with Jessica!"
The water had been running in the bathroom for a long time. Jessica adjusted the temperature slightly cooler than usual, but even after showering, the heat on her ears didn't dissipate.
Taking the opportunity to apply skincare to her face, she vigorously patted her face. She walked out of the bathroom, continuing to pat as she stood in the living room, constantly glancing back towards the main bedroom where the bed, which she had reclaimed, stood. Eventually, her face became sore from the patting, and she stopped, standing in the living room, lost in deep thought.
Jessica believed she was clear in her mind. Setting aside, she hadn't thought of finding a husband for herself after having Danielle, let alone disrupting their mother-daughter life with a sudden father figure for Danielle, particularly an individual of such eminent standing as Gabriel. She also had to compel herself to be more vigilant.
Gabriel would appear here so late at night as he probably just wanted to see Danielle. After all, the deep bond they had established in front of her was something she couldn't intervene in. Danielle was indeed very lovable, and it wasn't strange for someone to care about her.
The recent incidents were just due to being followed, leading to some unavoidable circumstances.
It hadn't escalated to an unspeakable level, so she didn't need to care about it!
After a few more pats on her face, Jessica felt she had effectively set the stage for herself. She returned to the bathroom to blow-dry her hair, tidied up, and prepared to go back to bed. Just as she lay down and closed her eyes, the scene of Gabriel pressing her against the car door replayed vividly in her mind.
Closing her eyes tightly, after a few minutes, she suddenly sat up with a look of annoyance, staring blankly at the cardboard box she had left on the cabinet.
Sitting on the bed, she ran her fingers through her hair, picked up her cellphone, opened WhatsApp, and opened the chat with Gabriel.
She quickly opened his profile picture, intending to block and delete Gabriel from WhatsApp. She suddenly remembered his words, turned back to see that sentence to confirm whether he had been blocked. She sat on the edge of the bed, legs crossed, lost in thought.
She couldn't block him. Blocking him directly would not benefit her in any way.
Who knew if he would change his mind easily. Since he had the ability to dispel the negative rumors about her, then he surely had the power to entangle her in gossip once more.
But what did he mean by mentioning the blocking today?
Casually tapping on the WhatsApp page, Jessica suddenly remembered that after adding him as a friend, she had instinctively blocked her Stories from him. Could he have found out?!
He had just helped her out of a crisis, but she blocked him immediately. ,.
She seemed a bit heartless.
Thinking this, it seemed reasonable for Gabriel to come and settle scores with her!
Jessica quickly and deftly removed Mr. Harriman from her block list, holding her cellphone and muttering a quick apology, before lying back down to continue sleeping.
However, after closing her eyes, the image of Gabriel pinning her to the car door haunted Jessica, leading her to smother her face with a pillow, torn with conflict.
