Chapter 559 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 44
Jessica waved her hand dismissively. "I don't need it. I'll just use my own sunscreen and moisturizer when I get back to the tent."
Amy looked at her in surprise and leaned in for a closer look. "Is your skincare routine really that simple? But your skin looks amazing!"
"It's not that complicated. I mostly just use sunscreen," Jessica replied, steering the conversation back to the main topic. "Kevin is ten years older than you. To him, no matter what you do, you might still seem like a kid. For two people to fall in love and be together, there has to be a balance. At the very least, you need to make sure he doesn't see you as a child. Only then can he see you as a woman. Otherwise, how could he ever accept a relationship like that?"
Amy paused, her hand on her face. "But I don't dress like a kid."
Jessica glanced at her outfit. Although Amy had dyed her hair back to its natural color, making her look less like she just returned from a K-pop group, her makeup was still a bit heavy, in that stage-performer style. However, Amy's features were so pretty and delicate that it didn't look overdone, just made people marvel at how youth can pull off any look.
"So, is it a personality thing?" Amy put down her mirror and looked at Jessica. "Am I too immature?"
Jessica was speechless.
Amy, you're asking so bluntly, how can I answer you just as bluntly?
Jessica didn't see herself as a life coach and didn't want to impose her experiences and thoughts on others, even though Amy seemed eager to learn from her.
Maybe in Amy's mind, she believed that since Kevin once liked Jessica, everything about Jessica must be what Kevin liked the most. So, she wanted to learn from her, even humbling herself at this age to seek advice.
But love isn't something you can learn by asking for advice.
Even Jessica didn't think Kevin's feelings for her were that deep. They were just in the same cast, and naturally, there were some interactions. Jessica's relationships with colleagues were always just right, not too close, not too distant, and she never provoked anyone. To Kevin, she probably seemed like a nice woman, which piqued his interest.
Life is quite realistic. The so-called deep feelings often stem from not being able to get what you want. The more unattainable something is, the more persistent you become, and the deeper the feelings grow.
But Kevin was quite clear-headed. Once he realized it was impossible, he backed off decisively. Now, they were just regular colleagues. Although the media occasionally tried to stir things up, everyone knew how strong Jessica's relationship with Gabriel was. No media outlet wanted to risk offending Gabriel by spreading baseless rumors, so those stories were long in the past.
Except for Amy, who still remembered. Everyone else had moved on.
Jessica tried a different approach. "Or, when you and Kevin talk, what does he usually say? What topics do you often discuss? Maybe start by finding common interests and topics to get to know each other better."
Amy suddenly looked confused. "What he often says is..."
Jessica raised an eyebrow, waiting expectantly for an answer that would help her continue the discussion.
Amy said, "He tells me to be quiet."
Jessica was speechless.
