Chapter 245 The Deepest Hidden Secret

Chapter 245 The Deepest Hidden Secret

Jessica had already gone to the second floor without looking back.

Zoey followed behind, not saying a word, but gritting her teeth in anger. She held a piece of torn paper, ripping it into several pieces as if she wished the paper were Patricia herself.

"I just think of it as a dog barking, and I didn't take it to heart. Don't be mad," Jessica consoled.

"I think she's the dirty one, dirtier than anyone else, pretending to be pure." Zoey rolled her eyes and angrily took a big gulp of coffee in the lounge. "She just wants to climb up the social ladder, but Mr. Chloe doesn't even care about her! The disdain in his eyes is almost like an X-ray, she really thinks too highly of herself!"

Jessica rubbed her temples.

-

Outside the main entrance of Whispering Pines, a black Bentley had only one person inside. The distinguished and upright Gabriel got out of the car. The winter sunlight filtered through the sparse branches by the roadside, falling like scattered gold on Gabriel's shoulders.

At the same time, Cynthia happened to be nearby, bringing Jessica some pepper spray. She was on a mission in the area today, and Jessica's press conference was nearby. Jessica had just mentioned on WhatsApp that she was waiting at Whispering Pines.

Before coming, Cynthia received a call from Gabriel and reported the location to him as well.

"Mr. Harriman," Cynthia greeted respectfully as she approached the Bentley.

Gabriel glanced at her. "Is Jessica here?"

Cynthia nodded. "She just had a press conference at the hotel across the street and is now waiting for her agent here."

Gabriel walked straight in, catching sight of Keegan's lonely figure.

Keegan saw him at the same time.

Their eyes met, but the moment Keegan recognized Gabriel, the hidden anger stirred by Patricia almost erupted instantly.

"Mr. Harriman," Keegan greeted with the casual politeness of businessmen, but his eyes were clearly not friendly.

Gabriel's gaze remained indifferent, as if everything around him was insignificant. He didn't respond, only asked Cynthia, "Which floor is Jessica on?"

When Keegan heard this, his face froze for a moment, and his eyes narrowed slightly.

Beside him, Patricia, who was always persistent and clingy, was also stunned into silence.

Gabriel, even though he rarely appeared in the media, was a man desired by many women both inside and outside the industry. She could recognize him even if he turned to ashes.

Especially since Keegan had already addressed him as Mr. Harriman.

The man, Gabriel, before her, with his clear eyes and composed demeanor, seemed to exude a cold distance within a certain range around him. His gaze was indifferent, and from his shirt to his coat, he exuded an air of abstinence. Even the veins on the back of Gabriel's hand conveyed a cold aloofness.

However, Gabriel, who was usually so hard to even catch a glimpse of, had come here to find Jessica!

Cynthia walked to the front desk, inquired with the staff, then turned and said, "Jessica's in the lounge on the second floor, but she's already instructed that no one is to disturb her. There might be other members of the studio in the lounge. I'll call her first."

Gabriel said nothing, but it was clear he was patiently waiting.

Patricia watched this scene in shock, opening her mouth but unable to utter a word for a long time.

Was Gabriel actually waiting patiently to see Jessica?

What was Jessica's relationship with him?

Patricia wanted to ask boldly but was suddenly dragged out by Keegan. She staggered out of Whispering Pines. "Mr. Chloe, what are you doing?"

Ignoring the commotion outside, Cynthia called Jessica. Jessica didn't answer the first time, but finally picked up on the second call.

After inquiring, Cynthia paused, then turned to Gabriel with a complex expression.

When Gabriel saw Cynthia's look, his cold and stern brows furrowed slightly. "Where is she?"

Cynthia replied, "She ran away."

Gabriel's brow twitched, and his tone took on a hint of coldness. "Ran away?"

Cynthia nodded. "Yes."

Gabriel narrowed his eyes slightly. "What happened?"

"I'm not sure. In my impression, Jessica rarely shows immature emotions or loses her temper. She's usually quite easygoing. Maybe you should call her, Mr. Harriman?"

Gabriel expressionlessly took out his phone and showed her the screen.

On the screen, all his calls to Jessica were marked as missed, clearly indicating he had been blocked. Additionally, on WhatsApp, the messages he sent to Jessica had a red exclamation mark next to them.

Below was a gray box with a prompt: "Friend verification required. You are not friends with this person. Please send a friend request first. After the other party verifies, you can chat."

What?

Gabriel had been blocked by Jessica on WhatsApp, too!

Cynthia fell silent.

The sequence of events was that Jessica had been resting in the lounge on the second floor, waiting for Mackenzie to finish the meeting.

However, she had a headache and opened the window to get some fresh air.

Standing by the window, she saw Gabriel's car and then saw Gabriel get out.

Even though she saw Cynthia arrive, she immediately chose to find the stairs leading to the back door of Whispering Pines from the second floor and left directly.

She hadn't intended to answer the phone, but since Cynthia hadn't done anything wrong, she picked up the call and told Cynthia she had left without explaining the reason, then hung up and left with Zoey in a taxi.

Zoey looked puzzled. "Jessica, why did we suddenly run?"

Jessica continued to rub her temples, her headache unbearable, and didn't explain the whole way.

She didn't want to see him.

There was no other reason.

Being decisive wasn't a bad thing.

Patricia, dragged out of Whispering Pines by Keegan, tried to get into his car but was met with a harsh 'Get lost.'

Even as Keegan's car sped away, Patricia stood there in disbelief.

It was said that Keegan from Four Seas Entertainment was an absolute gentleman, always gentle with Trinity. Many female stars in the industry envied them. When the two finally ended their engagement, many women coveted the position of the president's wife of Four Seas Entertainment, eager to climb into his bed.

At least last night, at that social gathering, Keegan hadn't let any woman sit next to him. But when he saw her, he somewhat relaxed and let her sit beside him. She drank a few glasses with him, and later, when she leaned on his shoulder, he paused but didn't push her away.

It was rare to see Keegan drunk, and Patricia wanted to use this opportunity to climb up the social ladder.

She dragged him to a suite at Whispering Pines, bathed him, and undressed him, but Keegan didn't even kiss her. He just told her to go away, annoyed and with a headache.

Patricia was extremely frustrated and embarrassed, so she decided to create a scene of drunken misconduct by scattering their clothes on the floor.

But as she threw their clothes around, she suddenly saw a wallet fall out of Keegan's pocket.

The wallet fell to the ground.

Patricia picked it up and discovered the deepest secret of the president of Four Seas Entertainment.
