Chapter 633 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 118

After a hearty lunch, the production team sent someone over to announce the afternoon's task, giving everyone a heads-up so they could mentally prepare.

The task was a capture-the-flag game on a soft, sandy beach. The six families would be divided into two teams, and the teams would compete against each other. The team assignments would be decided by drawing lots.

After lunch, the male guests volunteered to wash the dishes and clean up the table, letting the female guests relax and draw lots for the teams.

"There are six balls in the box, blue and red. Those who draw blue will be on one team, and those who draw red will be on the other. All games and tasks this afternoon will be based on these teams," the staff member read from a notebook given to her by the producer.

Cindy glanced at the staff member but didn't rush to draw. Instead, she walked over to Jessica and whispered, "This is weird. The game rules were already set, and the director could have just announced them. Why are they reading from a notebook now? Did they change things last minute?"

Jessica gave Cindy a knowing look. "Probably."

"So it's not just me who thinks something's off. I saw them having a meeting earlier, like they were discussing something important. Maybe there are new regulations or changes in the entertainment industry. Otherwise, why would the crew seem so tense today?"

Women's intuition is always spot on.

Cindy had noticed these small details too.

Cindy was always easy to get along with, and Jessica didn't want to hide anything from her. But with all the arrangements and cooperation with the production team, she couldn't just reveal her pregnancy.

Jessica nodded. "Variety shows often have last-minute changes. It's all about the ratings."

Cindy nodded and didn't say more. When the staff brought the box to her, she reached in and pulled out a ball.

"Blue," Cindy announced, holding up her ball.

The other female guests had already drawn their balls. Debra had a red ball, Amy had a red ball, and Rachel had a blue ball.

Cindy and Melissa reached in at the same time. Cindy got blue, and Melissa got red.

With one ball left, it was clear Jessica would also get blue.

"Jessica, we're on the same team!" Cindy cheered, bumping her ball against Jessica's like two excited kids.

Rachel joined them, smiling. "Ms. Jenner, Cindy, we're together."

Cindy glanced at Rachel and smiled. "Let's do this."

Jessica didn't respond, her expression unreadable. She put her ball back in the box and turned to Marshall. "How are the games set up?"

Marshall had just walked in. Most of the earlier tasks were announced by other staff members. He smiled at Jessica's question. "Beach volleyball and beach basketball. This afternoon's games will be split into men's and women's groups, competing on separate courts."

"So it's not couples on the same team this time, but split groups?" Cindy laughed.

Marshall replied with a smile, "Missing Clayton already?"

"Of course she is. Clayton's been chatting with Mr. Harriman from dawn till dusk these days, almost forgetting he has a wife," Melissa teased.
