Chapter 527 Sweet Extra - Couple Variety Show 12

[Hahahahaha! Gabriel is online with his arrogance!]

[Lol! Mr. Harriman, watch out, you might lose your cool persona, hahaha.]

[But Gabriel's arrogance is surprisingly charming!]

Jessica didn't care about any of that. She tugged on Gabriel's pant leg, pulling him further in, her eyes fixed on the little creatures at his feet. She couldn't be bothered with Gabriel's arrogance at the moment, nor with Rachel's slightly disappointed but restrained expression.

After finally using up all the corn she had, the director started the countdown, "Alright, twenty seconds left..."

Jessica quickly scooped up two chicks and ran into the pen, looking up with a smile at Gabriel, who was looking down at her. She grinned and whispered, "I'm just trying to get a good night's sleep tonight."

Despite her words, she noticed out of the corner of her eye that Lester and Rachel's pen was filling up with little creatures, almost as crowded as Amy and Kevin's. She then glanced at the elderly couple, Maurice and Debra, next to her. They didn't have as much experience playing games as the younger folks, so they just scattered some corn on the ground to attract a few little creatures. They didn't call out or squat down to gather them, resulting in the fewest chicks and ducklings in their pen.

As for the others, Clayton and Cindy had about the same number as Jessica and Gabriel, and Brent and Melissa had quite a few too. Only Maurice and Debra's pen had noticeably fewer.

Jessica glanced at Gabriel again and whispered, "The director said those who don't get a room tonight will have to sleep in tents."

Gabriel also glanced at the elderly couple's pen, which contained a pitiful number of creatures, while listening to Jessica continue.

"But we haven't experienced camping together yet, have we?" she whispered even more quietly.

Gabriel looked at her holding the chicks and whispering to him, then glanced sideways and back at her, indicating she could do as she pleased.

The director's countdown continued, "Six, five, four, three, two..."

As the countdown neared its end, Jessica quickly turned and kicked open the part of the barrier between her pen and Maurice and Debra's. The elderly couple had scattered too much corn, and the few chicks and ducklings in their pen hadn't finished eating. The little creatures in Jessica's pen immediately started rushing over. Jessica let out a low "oops" as if she had kicked it accidentally and frantically tried to block them again, but by the time the director called the final second, she hadn't managed to do so.

Marshall said, "Alright, time's up! Let's count the number of animals in each pen!"

Amy, unaware of what had just happened, excitedly shouted from her pen, "We're first, we must be first! Hey, Jessica, what happened to you guys?"

Everyone turned to look and saw that most of the chicks and ducklings from Jessica and Gabriel's pen had run over to Maurice and Debra's side.

"I accidentally kicked the barrier," Jessica said with a smile, not bothering to explain further.

"Oh, you two kids, you don't have to give way to us old folks. We're fine with sleeping anywhere." Maurice and Debra saw what happened but couldn't get into the pen in time to stop it. They were surprised that Jessica, after all her efforts, had ended up giving everything away.
