Chapter 650 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 135
Brent chuckled, "Well, since Mr. Harriman is so sincere, we shouldn't make things too tough for Ms. Jenner. Mr. Harriman, keep drinking."
Seeing Brent's satisfied expression, it was clear he never intended for Jessica to drink. He was waiting for Gabriel to step in.
It seemed Brent wanted to challenge Gabriel at the table, aiming to outdrink someone who was a veteran of countless social events.
Gabriel picked up a glass, looked at Brent, and with a soft laugh, said, "Does getting me drunk give you that much satisfaction?"
Brent widened his eyes and said seriously, "Absolutely!"
Gabriel's long fingers gently traced the rim of the glass as he chuckled.
Brent, eyes still wide, added, "I never imagined I'd get to drink with Mr. Harriman, let alone call him a buddy. If I can get you drunk, it would be a highlight of my life."
"It's not that dramatic. We all have different professions, and we've been together for days now. We've moved from strangers to friends. I'll drink this first, and you all can do as you please."
With that, Gabriel downed his drink in one go.
Earlier, he had been drinking straight from the bottle. Now, he was drinking three glasses on Jessica's behalf. After finishing the first glass, without waiting for anyone to speak, he picked up the other two and drank them down.
Gabriel didn't even flinch, and Jessica, resting her chin on her hand, watched him with a smile, occasionally glancing at the other guests.
Those who wanted to drink were enjoying themselves, and those who wanted to eat were busy with their food.
Debra kept bringing food to Jessica, who felt a rare sense of elder care. It wasn't the kind of care she got from her grandparents, but a kind, instinctive concern from an older woman who knew she was pregnant.
Jessica hadn't felt this kind of care when she was pregnant with Danielle. Now, she was pregnant again but hadn't returned to the Harriman Villa, so the Harriman family didn't know yet.
Debra's care was the most direct and immediate.
Jessica clasped her hands together and nodded at Debra across the table, silently expressing her gratitude.
Cindy noticed the interaction and glanced at Jessica, sensing something was off. She had a fleeting suspicion but didn't dwell on it as Clayton called her over for a drink.
By ten o'clock, everyone was full and satisfied. They all grabbed sleeping bags and set up on the first floor to rest.
Fortunately, though no one was using the bedrooms, the bathrooms were comfortable, and everyone enjoyed a good shower before slipping into their sleeping bags, chatting as they lay down.
Gabriel wasn't drunk, but after a night of drinking, he felt the effects. Lying next to Jessica, he closed his eyes without speaking. Jessica knew he needed to sleep, so she didn't disturb him.
Suddenly, Melissa gently tapped Jessica's sleeping bag, mouthing for her to check Instagram.
Jessica picked up her phone and opened Instagram. There were no trending topics, but she knew why everyone was happy tonight. Instinctively, she searched for Rachel and Lester's profiles.
