Chapter 680 Sweet Extra - Couple Variety Show 165
Elise spun around, ready to sock Hugo, but he leaped up and bolted.
Feeling awkward, Elise turned back to Jessica. "Sorry, Ms. Jenner, I..."
"It's cool, I get it. We're all colleagues now, gotta have each other's backs. Be lively, playful, and cheerful, so everyone can chill more," Jessica said, casually linking her arm with Elise's. She then turned to Cindy, who was laughing nearby. "Which BBQ joint are we hitting up? Lead the way, Cindy."
Elise felt tense all over, like she was dreaming, being led out of the hotel by Jessica.
Gabriel didn't come over to freak Elise out more; instead, Clayton started chatting with him. Although Clayton didn't dare to be as buddy-buddy as he was with Brent and Kevin, he still asked Gabriel some questions about the upcoming episode. He figured Gabriel, being the big boss, would know everything. But Gabriel didn't spill a single word and just gave Clayton a knowing look.
Clayton immediately shut his mouth and turned to Kevin, asking him something else. This continued until they reached the Korean BBQ restaurant.
As they sat down, Brent looked puzzled at Clayton, who had finally stopped talking. "Isn't our show just a travel show? There shouldn't be any secret arrangements, right?"
Clayton sat up straight. "What secret arrangements?"
"Like, did the director give you some secret mission? You were clearly fishing for info earlier," Brent said, looking mischievous.
Clayton scoffed. "It's been two episodes. If there were any secret missions, they'd be with you. We don't even know about any secret missions."
Brent shrugged. "I've watched a lot of reality shows. I don't have any missions."
"Are there really missions?" Maurice asked.
Clayton replied directly, "No, don't listen to his nonsense."
The group didn't continue the topic, but their exchanged glances showed they were all thinking the same thing.
It seemed the show was planning to change its format with Rachel Lester's departure, adding more entertainment elements instead of just focusing on travel.
When it was Jessica's turn to order, she looked at the items already ordered and only asked for a bowl of noodles, then passed the menu to Elise, who was sitting next to her.
Elise happily took the menu and said, "Thanks, Ms. Jenner," while subtly moving her chair closer to Jessica.
Gabriel, sitting on Jessica's other side, noticed Elise's attempts to get closer to Jessica and raised his refined eyebrows slightly.
"Jessica, you're just ordering noodles?" Cindy asked.
"You guys already ordered some BBQ and other dishes. I'll just eat with everyone. I didn't eat much on the island, so I want to have more carbs today to be full and wake up early for filming tomorrow," Jessica said, picking up her water glass to drink.
She realized she had already drunk most of her water.
Gabriel was about to grab the glass pitcher to refill her glass, but Elise quickly stood up, grabbed the pitcher behind Gabriel, and swiftly filled Jessica's glass.
Jessica looked at her in surprise, and Elise smiled brightly. "Ms. Jenner, the water is warm. Drinking warm water is good for your health!"
Gabriel, noticing that Jessica seemed to be getting attention from a young girl, felt a bit helpless.
