Chapter 620 Sweet Extra - Couple Variety Show 105
Jessica loved seafood, but with her hectic schedule filming and recording shows, she rarely got the chance to enjoy it.
At home in the Harriman Villa, Michael and Seraphina weren't fans of seafood, so even if they made some just for her, it wasn't much. Occasionally, Gabriel would take her out for a seafood buffet, but nothing compared to the freshness of what they had just caught here.
Seeing the cute little oysters, clams, and crabs, Jessica's mouth was practically watering.
She was chatting excitedly with Gabriel, looking like a kid in a candy store.
But Gabriel's next words brought her back to reality.
"Can you eat crab right now?"
Jessica was speechless.
Right.
She couldn't.
She glanced down at the bucket of fish Gabriel had caught.
Initially, Jessica thought that with so much seafood around, no one would bother with the fish. She was about to suggest that Gabriel stop fishing since everyone had shifted focus from the game. But clearly, she hadn't considered this.
Gabriel had always gotten along well with the other male guests and never acted superior. Today, instead of joining the others in the sea, he had spent his time fishing.
These fish were obviously for her.
It didn't matter what others ate; what mattered was that she had something she could eat.
Without these fish, when it was finally time to eat, everyone else would be enjoying crabs and seafood while Jessica could only watch.
Realizing this, Jessica leaned her head on Gabriel's shoulder, rubbing her face against him. "Thanks, babe."
Gabriel looked down at her grateful and affectionate expression, raising an eyebrow. "You managed to give birth to Danielle safely. I don't know if I should say you're lucky or if Danielle is."
Jessica sighed. "What do you mean lucky? When I was abroad, I couldn't afford seafood even if I wanted to. I couldn't afford anything harmful to pregnancy, so I couldn't eat it even if I wanted to."
Gabriel sighed, putting down the fishing rod and wrapping an arm around her shoulders, pulling her close. "You looked like you regretted not going into the sea with everyone."
"I did want to go, but I saw the other female guests just helping out on the beach without even taking off their boots. Given my condition, it wasn't a good idea to go into the sea, though I did have a bit of longing."
Gabriel chuckled, ruffling her hair. "You're such a kid."
This scene was perfectly captured by Marshall's camera. He reviewed the footage and smiled at the producer.
The producer sighed. "Marshall, even during the planning stages, I wanted to say, getting Jessica on board was impressive. Having Gabriel here too, and seeing how cooperative and relaxed they are with our crew, it's amazing. You never really explained how you managed it. It can't just be industry connections, right? So many people want to work with Harriman Entertainment, but it's not easy. Especially with Mr. Harriman being so..."
"Just a stroke of luck, I guess. It was meant to be," Marshall smiled, not elaborating, and continued watching the playback.
On the screen, Jessica leaned happily on Gabriel's shoulder as he ruffled her hair. Even just their silhouettes were captivating.
