Chapter 683 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 168
After dinner, Melissa and the others wanted to take Jessica for a stroll around the small shopping street near the hotel. A few celebrities walking together would be less likely to attract awkward attention from passersby compared to going alone.
Jessica was about to agree, but it was the weekend, and Danielle was lying on the master bed at the Harriman Manor, holding Michael's phone with her little feet in the air, wanting to video call her parents.
When Melissa and Cindy saw Danielle's face on Jessica's phone, they were immediately smitten. Cindy grabbed the phone and introduced herself, "Hey Danielle, I'm Cindy. I'm a new friend of your mom and dad. Once we're done here, I'll find time to visit you!"
Danielle nodded happily on the other side of the screen, "Okay, okay!"
Melissa quickly took the phone, "Sweetie, you're so pretty and cute! Your name is Danielle, right? I really like you."
Cindy playfully smacked Melissa on the shoulder.
Melissa laughed for a while, and Jessica couldn't help but smile as she stood by.
Seeing their playful interaction, Danielle could tell they were close friends of Jessica. She wasn't shy at all and said sweetly, "My name is Danielle."
"Such a beautiful name!" Melissa said enviously, turning to Jessica, "It's making me want to have a daughter!"
"Who wouldn't want such an adorable daughter? I'm so jealous," Cindy said, resting her chin on Melissa's shoulder, both of them filled with envy.
"Then have one! If you don't have one while you're young, you won't have the energy to keep up later," Jessica said with a laugh, taking back her phone and looking at Danielle on the screen.
Danielle patiently waited for them to finish chatting, resting her chin in her hands and watching with her big, round eyes.
When Jessica reappeared on the screen, Danielle's face lit up, and she blew a kiss to the camera.
Melissa and Cindy were even more smitten, hugging each other and talking about having daughters.
After a bit more laughter, they finally said, "Since you have some free time tonight to video call with your daughter, we won't drag you along. Let us know on Facebook if you want us to pick up anything for you. We're heading out now!"
"Okay," Jessica waved them off, watching them leave the hotel before turning back to the elevator.
"Danielle, the signal was bad in the elevator. Mommy's heading to the room now. We'll talk more once I'm inside, okay?" Jessica said as she walked.
"Okay! Is Daddy in the room too?" Danielle asked, tilting her head.
"Yes, he is."
"Daddy's not taking a bath, is he? I want to talk to Daddy!"
"He shouldn't be. He already took a bath before we went downstairs for dinner, but he might be on a call with the office," Jessica said, opening the door to their room.
Sure enough, Gabriel was sitting in the small study area of their suite, with an iPad displaying a conference document and wearing thin gold-rimmed glasses. He was holding his phone on speaker, listening to Landon's report.
When Jessica returned, Gabriel looked up from his desk, hearing Danielle's giggles faintly coming from the phone.
