Chapter 348 Can't Pretend Not to See Anymore

"Your so-called affection is invading my privacy? Knocking on my door past midnight? Bringing breakfast at six in the morning while I'm still asleep?" Jessica glared at her. "Let me be clear, I never asked for this! You're disturbing my rest and demanding my autograph, pretending to be a fan. You're in uniform, meaning you're on duty. This is an invasion of my privacy and a violation of your professional ethics!Leave now!"

The staff member clutched her phone tightly, staring in disbelief. "I just like you. What did I do wrong? I didn't even enter your room. I brought fruit and breakfast for your own good."

"I don't want to argue. Take it up with your hotel manager." Jessica stepped back and slammed the door shut.

She called Lynn and detailed the harassment by the hotel staff posing as fans from last night until now, then tossed her phone aside and collapsed back into bed.

She was utterly exhausted.

But she still didn't get to sleep until she woke up naturally.

Lynn arrived around nine.

Seeing Jessica's tired expression, she guessed it was because Jessica had been disturbed last night and this morning, leading to a restless sleep.

"Don't sleep yet. You can sleep on the plane this afternoon." Lynn glanced at the time. "The things you told me on the phone, can the hotel's hallway cameras capture them?"

"If the cameras weren't malfunctioning, they should have."

"Alright, I'll go file a complaint. You freshen up. Later, we'll meet with a few advertisers here in W City, just for a cup of coffee to maintain relationships, then we'll head to the airport," Lynn said, then left with her phone.

Jessica had no choice but to get up and shower. Just as she finished and was about to blow-dry her hair, Lynn knocked and returned.

"Did you file the complaint?" Jessica asked, holding the hairdryer.

"Yes, I did. But the staff was quite arrogant. They apologized verbally, saying the room service staff was a new intern and they weren't clear about her situation. They only apologized on behalf of the hotel. But from their attitude, it was clear they intended to cover it up. I bet that wasn't even a real employee. Some rich fan probably paid someone off for a uniform and access to you.""

Lynn continued coldly, "I overheard other staff saying the hotel owner is visiting today, and they were discussing not offending guests and resolving issues quickly. I saw a group of people walking respectfully before I came upstairs, so the owner must be here. I'll complain directly to him."

Lynn seemed about to make a call to find out who was responsible for the hotel. After all, the magazine arranged the stay last night, and they returned too late to consider much beyond comfort.

Suddenly, she seemed to hear something, turned to the hallway, then looked back at Jessica with a knowing glance, whispering, "They're on this floor! I saw them!"

Jessica thought, 'Who was on this floor? The hotel owner here for an inspection?'

Before she could ask, Lynn rushed out.

Jessica had only wanted Lynn to find the hotel manager to complain, not to make a big scene.

Thinking this, she grabbed the hairdryer and turned toward the bathroom, pausing at the card slot by the door. She walked over and saw a faint watermark on the room card.

Harriman.

There was a Harriman mark on it.

Jessica was stunned.

She wasn't familiar with Harriman Group's buildings in W City, but she knew they had been undergoing reforms in recent years. Previously, their buildings only had a low-key Harriman logo, but now even that had been removed, leaving only a watermark visible under certain lighting conditions.

She hadn't noticed any marks on the hotel equipment by the bed last night, but now she saw the increasingly clear logo on the room card.

Her brain reacted instantly, and Jessica grabbed the card, opened the door, and rushed out to call Lynn back.

She hurried out barefoot, not feeling the cold of the hallway carpet, and saw Lynn blocking the inspection group.

Lynn was angrily accusing, "Come on, this is W City! A seven-star hotel shouldn't have these kinds of staff problems. Harriman Group's headquarters are in Xyleria, so does this hotel think they can get away with anything here? Accepting bribes from fans to let them harass celebrities staying here? Is this your hotel's standard? It's so disappointing!"

Jessica looked past Lynn's shoulder and saw the tall, stern figure standing among the group. Her scalp tingled, and she quickly ran over to pull Lynn's hand. "Lynn, stop, let's..."

She didn't finish her sentence before Lynn shook off her hand and continued addressing the cold-eyed Gabriel, "I know your company handles many businesses, and hotels are just one of them. But since you're here for an inspection and witnessed our issue, shouldn't you provide a reasonable solution? Our artist is a public figure, but being excessively harassed during non-working hours is your hotel's problem."

"Lynn!" Jessica saw everything and tugged her hand again, unable to pretend otherwise.

She couldn't avoid looking into those cold eyes, seeing only calm detachment. She raised her eyes, meeting Gabriel's composed gaze.

Gabriel's expression remained unchanged as he looked at Jessica, who had run over with wet hair and bare feet.

Jessica never expected to meet Gabriel in such a situation.
