Rachel had sidled up at some point, clearly looking for a chance to chat with Amy. Amy had already sensed someone approaching from behind but stubbornly refused to turn around, pretending not to notice.
It wasn't until Rachel gently tapped Amy on the shoulder and, with a friendly smile, softly said, "Hey Amy, have you been arguing with Mr. Martinez these past few days? Why are you keeping such a distance from him? I haven't seen you whispering to him at all. Instead, you're always hanging around Mr. Harriman and Ms. Jenner. Remember, we're still teammates on this show. You should be a bit more mindful."
Rachel wore a look of well-meaning concern as she lightly patted Amy's shoulder again.
Amy suppressed the irritation on her face and turned to smile at Rachel. "Rachel, my name is Amy, not Aimee. Please don't get it wrong."
"And by the way, Jessica is my cousin-in-law, and Gabriel is my cousin. If I want to chat with my family about personal stuff, it shouldn't bother anyone, right? Speaking of which, Kevin and I are just teammates. You and Lester are the real couple here, and you two haven't exactly been getting along. So why can't I have a bit of my own space?"
Amy forced another smile at Rachel, but it was clear that the smile was laced with visible impatience and disdain.
Rachel hadn't interacted much with Amy before and had always seen her as a bold, outspoken kid who wasn't afraid to chase after what she wanted in the entertainment industry.
But when this kid decided to be sarcastic, she was brutally straightforward.
Rachel was momentarily at a loss for words, her eyes showing a mix of confusion and hurt as she looked over at Gabriel.
However, Gabriel didn't look back, and Amy cleared her throat and moved even closer to Jessica and Gabriel, sitting up straight to block Rachel's view. She then turned her head as if to continue her conversation with Jessica. Rachel had no choice but to turn away with a forced smile and start talking to Cindy, who was standing nearby.
Cindy responded briefly but didn't pay much attention. Rachel thought for a moment before heading back to Lester. She whispered something to him, and Lester, initially indifferent, glanced at her with a hint of disdain and a cold smile. Then, raising an eyebrow, he suddenly placed his hand on Rachel's shoulder, showing off their affection for the cameras.
The other guests remained silent, pretending not to notice the sudden change. Debra, however, glanced over and genuinely remarked, "It's good to see them getting along."
Maurice, hearing Debra's comment, turned to look at Lester and Rachel but didn't say anything.
The other guests continued to wait for the bus as if nothing had happened. Amy, in particular, stayed by Jessica's side, chatting away, seemingly having forgotten about her teammate.
When the bus finally arrived, everyone, being celebrities, instinctively wanted to choose seats closer to the front for the long journey. However, to maintain their image, they hesitated to rush forward, resulting in a scene of polite jostling.
At that moment, Kevin suddenly appeared, pulling Amy, who was still chatting, away from Jessica. He grabbed her wrist, covered by a sun-protective sleeve, and led her directly onto the bus.
