Chapter 664 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 149

"What's the plan for tonight's unexpected situation? Are we gonna keep filming, or should we just let everyone do their own thing and record that too?" Cindy asked.

Marshall thought for a moment before deciding, "Keep filming. Sometimes these unexpected situations can capture the audience's curiosity."

Brent chuckled, "Marshall, this isn't a last-minute setup, is it?"

Marshall shot him a look, "If it were last-minute, would we have sent the other crew and equipment on the first boat? Now, it's just me and the camera assistant, plus you guys staying here tonight. The battery on this camera will probably last a little over two hours. Let's try to capture as much as we can and edit it later."

Gabriel picked up on the most crucial part of Marshall's statement, "No generator?"

Marshall looked apologetically at Gabriel and sighed, "Yeah, the generator is on the first boat too."

Jessica glanced around. "So, no lights on this side of the island tonight?"

"Not even sure if we can charge our phones," Melissa sighed as well.

Clayton laughed, "This isn't just filming a show; tonight is real survival on a deserted island, right? They said the tourist area is separated from this side of the island. It's only a few hours, but going to the tourist area would be a hassle. So, during these few hours, we'll be stuck in the cave in complete darkness."

"It's not that bad. It's just a few hours. Our phones are fully charged now, so we can take turns using them for light when needed," Cindy said. "Luckily, we've all gotten pretty close over these days. One night won't be a big deal."

"Alright, whatever works. But young people need to eat at night; we can't go hungry. I have some cookies and milk in my bag. I'll share them later," Debra offered.

"No need, Debra. We still have the cookware we used before. We can manage a meal. I have a lighter with me. We can gather some firewood," Brent said, finally showing off the lighter he kept in his pocket every day.

As soon as he took it out, Marshall gave him a look, and Brent grinned mischievously before putting it back in his pocket.

"Alright, sorry for the inconvenience. Let's go with this plan. If the boat comes early, we can leave early," Marshall turned to the camera assistant, "Record whenever you can, and save the battery. It'd be a shame if we missed something exciting tonight."

The camera assistant nodded repeatedly.

The evening passed quickly, and the boat didn't arrive. Everyone gathered their things and headed back to the cave.

Fortunately, the cave had already been cleaned up. With some simple bedding and sleeping bags, they could lie down and rest.

The female guests were organizing the food and drinks in their bags, while Clayton, with nothing else to do, went to the beach and dug up some clams and snails to make soup.

They all had a simple meal together until it got completely dark outside, with no lights at all.

Maurice pulled out a deck of cards, saying it was their old folks' game. When bored, they would play cards to pass the time, so he occasionally brought them along when traveling. He hadn't had a chance to use them until now.

Brent turned on his phone's flashlight and suggested playing President.

He turned to Gabriel, "Mr. Harriman, come on, let's play President. I can't beat you in basketball, but maybe we can win a round in cards?"
