Who would've thought you could actually catch some Z's during a show?
Jessica rolled over in the tent and blinked up at the ceiling. Before she dozed off, her head was resting on Gabriel's lap, but now it was propped up on a teddy bear pillow that Danielle had insisted on packing.
She lifted the tent flap and peeked out, just in time to see Gabriel coming through the guesthouse gate with a bottle of mosquito repellent in one hand and a small white foam box in the other.
Seeing Jessica awake, Gabriel shot her a glance and walked over, ignoring the director.
Meanwhile, the camera crew following Marshall had their lenses trained on Gabriel, making it clear that whatever he was carrying wasn't provided by the show.
When Gabriel returned and set the items down, Jessica opened the foam box, took a quick look inside, and then shut it abruptly. "Where'd you get this? This show loves to mess with us. They definitely wouldn't give us this stuff. Did you trade for it or buy it?"
"How could I buy it?" Gabriel saw that Jessica wasn't planning to continue her nap, so he got up and secured the tent flap to make it easier for her to go in and out.
When they all appeared on camera, their credit cards and cash were already confiscated. Unless they earned some money through games with the production team, they weren't allowed to spend freely during the show.
Jessica knew this, which is why she was curious about how Gabriel had managed to get these items.
[The director is so sneaky. When Mr. Harriman went out, the camera switched to Clayton and Cindy's room, so we didn't see how Mr. Harriman got those things!]
[Leaving us in suspense on purpose?]
[I recognize the mosquito repellent spray, but what's inside the foam box?]
[Gabriel wouldn't break into someone's house for his wife, would he?]
[Damn it! The camera switched again! I want to see the power couple! Give me back the power couple's footage!]
Jessica didn't know when the camera was live-streaming her and Gabriel or when it switched away. She was just genuinely curious about where Gabriel had gotten those items.
Suddenly, Amy poked her head out from the second floor, "Jessica, what do you want for dinner?"
After her nap, Jessica almost forgot that Amy and Kevin were responsible for dinner tonight.
Jessica made a gesture upwards, indicating she was fine with anything.
But to ensure a good meal tonight, she thought it was necessary to help Amy out.
"Amy probably can't cook. Kevin alone in the kitchen making dinner for so many people would be too much. I'll go help."
"You're going to help Kevin?"
[Damn, the camera just switched back and it's already this juicy?]

Jessica was taken aback for a moment, then realized what Gabriel meant and couldn't help but laugh, "I'm going to help Amy."
Gabriel's brows moved slightly, his voice calm, "If she wants to pursue a man, she should do it on her own."
He was clearly hinting that Jessica didn't need to help and should let Amy figure it out herself.
Gabriel was quite unsympathetic as a cousin, no wonder Nicholas had such a complicated mix of admiration, respect, fear, and frustration towards him.
