Jessica glanced at the screen again and saw the photo that had accidentally been seen earlier. She smiled openly and said, "Sometimes, when Gabriel isn't too busy, he makes time to cook for me and our daughter. I love the lamb chops he makes, and my daughter goes nuts for his steaks."
Clayton nodded from his seat, "Mr. Harriman must be even busier than us. For a guy like him to come home and cook for his family when he can, that's really something. I can't even compare."
Cindy laughed beside him, "Even though you can only make scrambled eggs, they're the best scrambled eggs in the world."
Clayton chuckled, and the couple exchanged a tender look.
Rachel coughed and then glanced outside, noticing Gabriel picking up a small bag of melons from Marshall, clearly for Jessica.
Clayton also saw what was happening outside. "But honestly, Mr. Harriman isn't as unapproachable as people say. He's pretty easygoing and doesn't put on airs. When we first heard he was coming on the show with you, we thought he'd be distant, but it turns out the rumors were wrong."
"Gabriel is very serious at work, and most of the rumors about his temperament come from people who've only seen him in a professional setting. He doesn't like being in the spotlight, so the side people see is just one part of him. In reality, he's not that hard to get along with. If he thinks someone is a good partner or friend, he's very kind and approachable. After all, we're all human. Gabriel doesn't need to maintain a cold persona like a celebrity. In private, he's really warm."
This was the first time Jessica had spoken about Gabriel in such a way, but perhaps only she and Danielle could truly understand how warm he could be.
