Chapter 666 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 151
Brent stared at Gabriel, suddenly realizing that the "student" he had been teaching was the most famous businessman in the country.
Could a businessman not be good with numbers?
Especially someone like Gabriel, a prodigy in the business world.
Brent swallowed hard, and after a moment of awkward silence, he said, "Mr. Harriman, you never cease to amaze me. You're incredible."
Gabriel looked at him. "What new realization?"
The other guests sat nearby, silent but with amused smiles, eager to see how Brent would respond to such a friendly inquiry from their benefactor.
Sure enough, Brent looked a bit flustered. "Well, I'll be honest. We've been together for days now, eating and living together. No matter what, even after the show ends, we'll still be friends, right? At least Mr. Harriman and I have become friends, haven't we?"
Gabriel raised an eyebrow, chuckling lightly. He didn't confirm, but he didn't deny it either.
Brent leaned in closer. "At first, I thought Mr. Harriman would be the type of old-school businessman with extremely high standards for everything—food, lodging, and during the show. I thought following you around might make things more comfortable for us."
Gabriel's eyebrow arched slightly again. "So?"
"So, now I realize you're the kind of person who doesn't complain about sleeping in the wilderness, catching crabs, or playing basketball with us. Before I got to know you, I thought you were just like those other investors in the industry. But now, I see you're different. This isn't just flattery; it's the truth."
Gabriel chuckled. "I believe you."
"But Mr. Harriman, your adaptability is amazing. No matter what you do, you get into the groove so quickly. You even learned to count cards in no time. Being friends with someone like you is great, but being your subordinate must be tough. You're too smart to fool." Brent placed his cards on the ground. "Just like these cards, you know exactly what I'm holding."
The guests burst into laughter, and Jessica couldn't help but cover her mouth, giggling.
Gabriel looked at Brent, then at Jessica, and asked seriously, "Do Landon and the others ever complain in private?"
Brent turned to Jessica, confused. "Landon? Who's that?"
Jessica laughed. "His assistant, one of the people who works closest with him."
She continued, "But his subordinates are probably used to his ways by now. When he's at the company, he's different from the Gabriel sitting in front of you now. I rarely get to see him at work, but I wish I could visit his company more often. After all, a man is most attractive when he's serious about his work."
"Why don't you go see him more often?" Amy leaned in, curious.
Gabriel, unusually playful, followed up with a smile. "Yeah, why not visit more?"
Jessica realized she had set a trap for herself. "If I weren't busy with filming and schedules, I might be able to. But my work is so packed that I often come home late at night. When I do have a day off, I try to spend it with the kids. I do visit his company, but not as often as I'd like."
