Chapter 61 How Did You Get Here?

Nicholas Harriman turned around when he heard the voice.

The moment he saw the man's figure walking out, Nicholas almost exclaimed and nearly jumped up!

Seeing Gabriel just coming out, Jessica Jenner stood by the kitchen door, gesturing toward him from afar, as if to say, "These two idiots are all yours," and then hurriedly went into the kitchen to boil water.

Nicholas sat stiffly on the couch for a while, under the gaze of his elder brother, but he didn't dare to actually jump up.

He remained silent in his original position, not moving at all.

It wasn't until Gabriel had already walked to the opposite side of him that Nicholas mechanically turned his head back, looking at his elder brother in disbelief.

When the brothers met, Nicholas was extremely shocked, but Gabriel seemed to look at him as if he were a stranger, sitting calmly on the couch opposite him, with no expression on his face, locking eyes with Nicholas.

Nicholas opened his mouth and quickly glanced toward the kitchen, seeing that Jessica hadn't come out. Then he turned his eyes back to the person in front of him, using his lips to form a shocked question, "Are you my brother?"

Gabriel just raised an eyebrow coldly and indifferently as a response.

He really was his brother!

Just a moment ago, he almost thought he was seeing things, or that woman had enchanted him. Otherwise, how could he see his long-lost brother in this place of all places?

Nicholas still looked shocked and doubtful, forcefully trying to calm himself down. He lowered his voice and asked, "Why are you here?"

Gabriel was indifferent and composed, neither fast nor slow, "Shouldn't I be asking you that?"

"No, I mean, shouldn't you be with the sister-in-law that everyone approves of?" Nicholas anxiously grinned, "But how did you end up here?"

This was too sudden!

Suddenly, Jessica's voice came from the kitchen, "Spencer, do you want some juice? After the guests leave, I'll make you a cup of Love Fruit Tea, alright?"

Gabriel hadn't responded yet when Nicholas fell silent again.

‘Is he Gabriel?’

Nicholas pointed in the direction of the kitchen with a dumbfounded expression, then pointed at Gabriel in confusion, and suddenly realized, "She's the sister-in-law?"

Emotions were calm within Gabriel's eyes, without a ripple.

But in Nicholas's eyes, this was equivalent to not denying it!’

The sound of boiling water in the kitchen was loud enough to drown out any noise in the living room, but it was not completely silent.

Did these two people really not speak to each other the whole time?

Although Spencer didn't talk much, Nicholas was quite talkative. So why was there no sound at all?

If these two continued to sit in this awkward silence, and if Spencer didn't reveal his identity as the host, would they still be able to receive the compensation smoothly, and could they also let that kid experience the harsh realities of society?

Jessica rummaged through the cabinet and found a box of tea. It seemed like a nice gift she had received when Mackenzie opened her studio.

After pouring two cups of tea, Jessica brought them out and placed them on the coffee table with a smile. Then, she naturally sat down next to Spencer, facing Nicholas, whose expression hardly changed. She raised her finger slightly and pointed to the man beside her, introducing him, "My husband, Spencer."
