Chapter 177 Gabriel and Jessica
"Mr. Chloe, how could you possibly monopolize beauty? Embrace a new dance partner." Gabriel's voice was cold and gave no face as he greeted them, forcibly leading Jessica, who hadn't reacted yet, a few steps away from them.
Seeing the beauty in his arms being replaced, Keegan remained expressionless on the surface, but his eyes instantly turned cold.
In the blink of an eye, Gabriel appeared out of nowhere and took Jessica away.
It wasn't until Jessica finally understood what was happening in front of her that she was completely taken away from the scene, almost by the edge of the dance floor, ready to leave the bustling crowd at any moment.
She raised her eyes, looking puzzled at Gabriel in front of her. "How did you...?"
Before she could finish her sentence, she suddenly felt the strength of his hand around her waist, making her keenly aware of Gabriel's current displeasure.
Jessica immediately silenced herself, subconsciously wanting to look back in Keegan's direction, feeling a slight pain where his hand was around her waist.
She had no choice but to look up at him again. "Why are you pinching me?"
Gabriel's face was as calm a millpond, looking at her still somewhat bewildered expression. "Are you so reluctant to part?"
What reluctance to part?
Jessica was just curious to see which unfortunate woman Gabriel had forcibly pushed over as if she were a tool.
Clearly, Gabriel had no intention of being on display in such a setting. From the moment he entered the dance floor to the moment he left, it didn't even exceed ten minutes. He ended directly where he started and took Jessica with him.
The people in the room hadn't even seen what was happening on the dance floor, and they had no idea what had occurred from start to finish.
Keegan had already stopped all his movements, nodding apologetically to the embarrassed Sharon in his arms, then turned to the direction Jessica had left.
No wonder the Four Seas Entertainment and the Harriman Group had little interaction. He had never had any contact with Gabriel, directly or indirectly, and had never offended Gabriel in any way. However, the Harriman Group had been discreetly involved in Jessica's affairs, and even on that rare occasion, Gabriel had shown such a distant and indifferent attitude that it could be described as outright disrespectful.
Thinking back to Gabriel's unkind actions just now and Jessica's previous bewildered but obedient demeanor as she was led away, the things became clear.
.
In the banquet hall's upstairs restroom, a few gossiping socialites who were rarely close to the dance floor were now full of bizarre gossip.
Their discussion grew more intense.
"Did I see correctly? That was Mr. Harriman. The rumored Gabriel."
"This is the first time I've seen him in such a setting. Just now, he was only ten feet away, and he looks much more handsome in person than in the public photos."
"He just took a woman from Mr. Chloe!"
"Took a woman?"
"Absolutely! I'm a hundred percent sure! It was clearly a snatch! After taking her away, he left the banquet hall directly!"
"Isn't Gabriel not interested in women?"
"Who told you that?"
"Everyone says so. He's indifferent to women, isn't that being gay?"
"Why are you all staring at me? Who was the woman he took away? I didn't even see clearly."
"It seems to be Jessica."
"The spokesperson in the H District of Tilans?"
"Yes! I saw it's her!"
"Gabriel Harriman and Jessica Jenner?! Is this for real? It's hard to imagine any connection between them!"
"But he did take her away. I saw it with my own eyes! It was Jessica!"
"How is that possible? Didn't everyone say Mr. Harriman had no interest in women, always being indifferent? The guys from the Collins and Murphy families even tried to play the family card to confess their love. But whether it was Gabriel Harriman or the whole Harriman clan, they got shot down. "
"Rumors may circulate, but now that we witness it firsthand, it's no wonder that Jessica Jenner, an obscure figure, managed to secure such a prominent endorsement from Tilans. It appears she has the mettle to match the magnificence."
"Is Gabriel Harriman truly so doting towards women..."
"In my observation, a lineage as esteemed as the Harriman family would never sanction an association with a mere starlet. Even if Gabriel Harriman has momentarily succumbed to the enchantments of a seductress, the reputedly ill-tempered Michael Harriman would never tolerate her presence; I reckon it won't be long before she is ousted."
"Was it captured on camera just now?"
"Even if someone did capture it, if the Harriman family steps in to suppress the information, it still wouldn't leak out. Publicly, no one would dare believe it either."
"Who would dare to spread gossip about the Harriman family? How much audacity would that require?"
"It's truly regrettable. From what we can tell at present, it seems that Jessica is beyond anyone's reach, isn't she?"
The door of the cubicle in the restroom opened silently.
Trinity walked out expressionless.
Suddenly, Seeing Trinity here, the socialites gossiping in the restroom froze for a moment, then exchanged glances as if nothing had happened. They quickly tidied up their makeup and elegantly walked out with their evening gowns as if the gossiping divas from before were not them at all.
Trinity hadn't expected to miss such an important scene by quietly staying in the restroom. She couldn't stand Keegan's dismissive attitude toward her.
Gabriel and Jessica?
Those women were probably gossiping without seeing clearly.
Jessica's boyfriend was clearly just a low-level employee driving a cheap car.
Trinity touched up her makeup, walked out of the restroom, and re-entered the banquet hall. Everything around her seemed normal, but Jessica's figure was indeed missing, and Keegan, who should have been on the dance floor, was also nowhere to be seen.
Jessica was not taken away from the banquet scene, and she was only taken away from the banquet hall.
The elevator stopped on the sixth floor of the hotel. Jessica struggled to gather her long skirt so as not to get caught in the door or scratched by something. She looked up at Gabriel's back and couldn't help muttering behind him.
"Indeed, a big boss, disappearing without a trace from such a banquet, without having to explain to anyone," she muttered to herself. But I'm the spokesperson for Tilans. If I leave on such an occasion tonight, how do I explain to them? Even if you intervene, it's really rude and disrespectful to them."
Gabriel gave her a cold glance and walked out directly after the elevator door opened.
Jessica had no choice but to follow, noticing that this floor was grand and different from the banquet hall downstairs; it seemed to be a dining area for gatherings.
As she walked forward, lifting her skirt and glancing around from time to time, she suddenly realized that Gabriel had stopped at some point without her noticing. She almost bumped into him from behind, staggering a bit and almost losing her balance.
Gabriel quickly reached out to support her, glanced at her sideways, and still spoke in a not particularly friendly tone, "Can't stand still?"
Jessica retorted, "You suddenly stopped, and it startled me!"
