Chapter 430 What If I Accidentally Kick Dad Off the Bed
Jessica nodded a bunch of times, and Gabriel's soft, slightly cool lips found hers perfectly.
Their gentle, shallow kiss started to deepen, and in the quiet, slightly cool air, you could hear their breathing as they kissed. It was like a fire ignited instantly, becoming uncontrollable.
Jessica, who had backed up to the door earlier, was suddenly scooped up and placed on the cabinet.
The height was just right for them to look each other in the eye. His gaze was deep and dark, like a whirlpool in the sea, kissing her over and over, from her forehead, to her eyebrows, to the tip of her nose, to her chin, and then to her lips.
Jessica's shoulder suddenly felt a chill, and the air was thick with desire. She tried to respond passionately, but Gabriel suddenly tightened his grip on her waist, ready to carry her to the already made bed.
Then, there was a knock on the door.
They both froze. Seraphina's voice came from outside: "Gabriel, Jessica, I see your room light is still on. Are you still awake?"
Jessica stiffened and looked at Gabriel without moving. He didn't seem much better off, and they stared at each other for a few seconds.
Seraphina seemed to realize that knocking on the door so late wasn't a great idea. She had intended to take Danielle back, but Danielle's voice also came from outside. "Great-grandmother, are Daddy and Mommy taking a bath?"
Seraphina paused, seemingly unsure how to respond.
As soon as Jessica heard Danielle's words, she quickly pulled up the neckline that had slipped to her shoulder, tidied her hair, and rushed to the door as if nothing had happened.
Gabriel didn't move, looked down, furrowed his brow twice, and helplessly rubbed his forehead, sighing with a smile.
Jessica opened the door to see Seraphina holding Danielle's hand, seemingly considering leaving. Hearing the door, she turned and saw Jessica. Seraphina looked a bit embarrassed: "Jessica, did we disturb you?"
"No," Jessica said with a smile, then looked down at Danielle. "Was Danielle being too noisy?"
"No, Danielle was very good. I was going to take her back to bed, but she said she hadn't seen her daddy for a long time and only saw him a few times today. She wanted to talk to him, so I brought her over." Seraphina said with a smile, patting Danielle's little head. "Danielle also said she wanted me to hold her to sleep, but she missed her daddy too much."
Jessica looked at Danielle, and Danielle looked up at her. "Mommy, can I sleep with you and Daddy Gabriel?"
Danielle's innocent words seemed harmless, but Jessica couldn't help blushing. Sure enough, Seraphina was smiling at her, as if she knew she had unintentionally interrupted something. However, since the couple had a long life ahead of them, Seraphina, having been through it herself, didn't feel guilty about interrupting. Instead, she was pleased to see the couple's good relationship.
Jessica didn't explain further, so she reached out and took Danielle's hand. "Alright, we'll put her to sleep. Grandma, you should rest early, too."
"Okay, have a good sleep. If Danielle wants to find great-grandmother in the middle of the night, she's welcome anytime. Great-grandmother is a light sleeper, just call me and I'll wake up." Seraphina waved goodbye to Danielle with a smile, then smiled at Jessica and headed downstairs.
Jessica quickly brought Danielle into the room. Gabriel had already walked over, and as soon as Danielle saw him, she happily ran towards him. "Daddy Gabriel!"
She immediately hugged his leg, just like she always did.
Gabriel picked Danielle up and smiled at her. "Why not sleep with great-grandmother?"
"I'll sleep with great-grandmother tomorrow, okay? I want to sleep with Daddy Gabriel." Danielle said with a smile, hugging his neck. "Is that okay, Daddy?"
Jessica used to get nervous when she heard Danielle call him Daddy. Now, hearing it filled her heart with sweet and sour emotions.
She had never dared to hope that Danielle's father would one day appear and let Danielle happily and naturally call him Daddy.
"Okay, how do you want to sleep?" Gabriel pointed his chin towards the bed. "Do you want to sleep next to Daddy or Mommy?"
"I want to sleep between Daddy and Mommy!" Danielle raised her little hand happily. "I want to be close to both Daddy and Mommy! Is it okay to sleep in the middle?"
Gabriel, with a serious expression as if deep in thought, didn't answer directly but gave Jessica a meaningful glance.
Jessica laughed and shook her head, indicating that it was up to him since it was his daughter making the request, not her.
"Sleeping in the middle is fine, but will you kick me with your little feet at night?" Gabriel said, pinching her little leg and foot with a smile. "What if you kick Daddy out of bed?"
"Wow, I won't do that!" Danielle immediately denied.
"How could you not? When you dream, you move around a lot. I've been kicked by you hundreds of times." Jessica said.
"No, Mommy is lying!" Danielle stuck her tongue out at Jessica. "Daddy, don't believe Mommy. Mommy is a big liar. I'm a little princess, and I don't kick!"
"I'm a big liar? What did I lie to you about?" Jessica blinked, imitating Danielle.
Danielle arrogantly turned her head away, ignoring her and whispered in Gabriel's ear. "Mommy is a big liar. She misses you so much that she cried for a long time, using a lot of tissues to wipe her tears and nose. Her eyes got swollen and her voice went hoarse, but she didn't tell anyone. Mommy is a crybaby but pretends she isn't!"
Gabriel, matching Danielle's tone, whispered back. "Really? When did this happen?"
"It was when Daddy Gabriel suddenly stopped appearing. Mommy said we would never see you again." Danielle said, resting her little head on his shoulder, feeling a bit sad. "Mommy cried so much that I didn't dare to mention Daddy Gabriel in front of her. I was afraid she would cry again. I've never seen Mommy cry like that."
Gabriel turned to look at Jessica.
Danielle was whispering in his ear, so Jessica didn't hear. Seeing Gabriel looking at her and Danielle whispering on his shoulder, she suddenly felt uneasy and squinted her eyes, threatening, "Danielle, what are you two talking about?"
