Chapter 314 Understanding Her Fundamentally Unreliable Soul

"Looks like Cynthia's rescue got intercepted halfway," Gabriel chuckled, pushing Jessica into the car. "Sit tight, don't move."

Jessica slumped into the passenger seat, feeling Gabriel buckle her seatbelt. She opened her bleary eyes to look at him, and as he leaned closer, she suddenly puckered her lips and kissed him on the cheek with a giggle.

Gabriel paused, glanced at her, and Jessica, with a dazed smile, said, "I'm very grateful for your help. You got me out of a tight spot.""

Saying this, she puckered her lips again to kiss his lips. Gabriel's brow twitched as she kissed the corner of his mouth, and he warned deeply, "Stop it, I need to drive later."

"I'm just thanking you," Jessica blinked at him like a spoiled little girl.

Although she kissed him, Gabriel didn't dodge, letting her grateful kisses land a few more times. Then, seeing she was about to stop, he suddenly grabbed the back of her head and pressed her back, kissing her hard on the lips until she struggled for breath, then he let her go.

"Be good. If you want to thank me, do it when we get back, okay?" Gabriel warned her hoarsely before closing the car door.

Jessica leaned back in the seat, looking dazedly out the window. She patted the car door and said, "Don't lock me in, let me out."

Then she suddenly heard the driver's side door open. She turned her head to him curiously, realizing she wasn't locked in but was in the car. She clutched her chest and leaned back, pointing forward. "Let's go home! Drive!"

Gabriel glanced at her and couldn't help but ask, "How much did you drink?"

"I don't remember." Jessica tried to recall, then waved her hand dismissively. "Doesn't matter, I know I drank a lot."

Gabriel sneered, "With your drinking capacity, you still want to socialize? If Cynthia hadn't come, and I hadn't seen the message, have you thought about the consequences?"

Jessica suddenly crossed her arms over her chest, frowning seriously. "No matter what happens, I will never give in!"

Seeing her drunken, flushed face and unfocused eyes, Gabriel sighed helplessly, adjusting her coat and patting her head to comfort her, "We'll talk when you're sober. Sit tight for now."

"Okay." Jessica seemed to only hear the part about sitting tight and immediately sat up straight like a child following a teacher's instructions.

A drunk Jessica would either kneel by his legs calling him boss, or twist around in a bathrobe at the Harriman family, or, like now, sit wide-eyed and still like a child.

Gabriel was used to Jessica's drunken escapades, but her knack for unreliability still managed to surprise him.

The black Bentley drove past Blue Bay Apartments without stopping and continued forward.

Jessica never imagined that she would be taken back to the Harriman family while drunk.

By the time they got back to the Harriman estate, it was late, and everyone had already turned in for the night.

Fred, hearing Gabriel had returned, came out to the front yard to greet him. He saw Jessica asleep in the car and watched as Gabriel carried her out. Fred stood aside, smiling silently.

"Is Grandpa Michael asleep?" Gabriel asked Fred.

Fred smiled. "Not yet. He's probably in his room listening to a play. But Ms. Jenner isn't in any shape to see him now. Maybe tomorrow. Let's get her to bed first."

Jessica reeked of alcohol.

Gabriel was about to head inside with Jessica in his arms when Fred suddenly said in a low voice, "Mrs. Harriman and Miss Kimberly's rooms are in the attic opposite your villa. The lights are still on, so they should be awake."

Gabriel gave Fred a meaningful look. Fred, with a humble expression, bowed slightly and said no more.

In Kimberly's room, Imogen stood by the window and saw Gabriel carrying a young woman from the front yard into the villa. From this angle, she couldn't see Jessica's face but could tell that Gabriel, who had kept women at a distance for years, was holding Jessica without hesitation. Jessica's arms were wrapped around his neck, their relationship clearly intimate.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Kimberly, seeing her mom's face turn cold, got up and walked over.

Imogen quickly drew the curtains. "Nothing, the lights outside are a bit glaring."

Kimberly looked at the closed curtains, paused, and softly asked, "Is Gabriel back?"

"Let's sleep first," Imogen said gently.

Kimberly nodded, glanced at the closed curtains again, and said nothing.

"What's going on, where is this?" Jessica, groggy, was brought into the Harriman family's bedroom. She looked around, feeling a bit familiar but couldn't remember where she was.

Gabriel tossed her onto the bed. Though not hard, Jessica instinctively flailed and stood up from the soft bed, asking again, "Where is this?"

Gabriel, unbuttoning his alcohol-scented shirt, looked at the drunken Jessica and said, "You're so wasted, you wouldn't even notice if I sold you."

Jessica glared at him from the bed. "Huh? You're going to sell me?"

Gabriel's forehead vein twitched. Not wanting to talk to a drunk, he turned to get a towel to wipe her face and sober her up. Before he could enter the bathroom, Jessica suddenly hugged him from behind, whining, "Don't be mad. I know you're Gabriel. I won't mistake you. No one can sell me, I'm not that dumb."

"Let go, I need to get a towel." Gabriel looked down at the hands around his waist.

"No, I won't let go," Jessica clung to his back, feeling comfortable.

"Let go?"

"No!"

Gabriel grabbed her hands and turned to speak, but the drunken Jessica suddenly stood on tiptoe and kissed him unexpectedly.
