Chapter 588 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 73

Lester was immediately flustered. "A cave? In Majestic City, a tropical island city, and we're all supposed to stay in a cave in the middle of the island?"

Rachel frowned. "So, no air conditioning, no electricity, no lights, not even beds or blankets?"

Marshall nodded. "Pretty much."

Rachel's expression changed instantly. She turned to look at Jessica, clearly unhappy.

Lester complained on the spot, "Is Ms. Jenner's hidden task to choose our accommodation? Because we made her sleep in an outdoor tent for two days, she wants us all to suffer with her for two days?"

As he spoke, Lester exchanged a knowing look with the other guests, a look that said, "We all get it."

The other guests glanced at Lester but didn't say much, though they were clearly puzzled.

Melissa asked, "So, the standalone villa you mentioned earlier, director..."

Marshall shrugged. "Gone."

Hearing this, Rachel couldn't help but turn away from the camera and roll her eyes.

Lester sneered. "Now I'm really curious, Ms. Jenner, what exactly is your hidden task? How did we go from having decent places to stay to all ending up in a cave?"

[Shut up, Lester. Seriously, stop talking. Do you ever think before you speak?]

[Is there something wrong with Lester and Rachel? They don't even let the director finish before they start leading everyone to isolate Jessica. How disgusting can a grown man be?]

[Ugh, I want to punch him. What trash is Lester?]

[Rachel's attitude is just as bad. What's wrong with these two?]

The live chat was flooded with angry comments, but the guests on the show were unaware. Jessica didn't rush to explain, and it was clear Marshall was being evasive for the sake of the show.

But since this was a live broadcast, Lester and Rachel's impatience was bound to backfire eventually.

Jessica had no idea that the comments were already defending her.

Unlike the other guests, Amy wasn't standing close to her partner, Kevin. Since returning from the supermarket, she had been sitting on a stone bench in the courtyard, drinking bottled water, and hadn't moved to stand next to Kevin.

Amy suddenly asked, "Director, can you explain the reason? This is a live broadcast, and the guests' emotions can easily be misled. You need to give us some details. Otherwise, Aunt Jessica being misunderstood is just weird."

Kevin glanced at her, but Amy didn't look back at him. She continued, "From what I know about Jessica, she would cooperate with the show's needs but wouldn't harm us. Everyone has seen how much she and her husband have helped us these past few days. If there's a misunderstanding, let's clear it up. There's no need for passive-aggressive comments."

Lester, caught off guard by Amy's remarks, looked displeased but couldn't say much. He coughed and said, "I wasn't implying anything, just complaining to the director. No other intentions."

Amy ignored him and didn't respond.

Debra smiled kindly. "I think the director is just being roundabout with us. But whatever the reason, the show must have a purpose for this arrangement. There's no need to blame any of the guests. We're all following the show's plan, right?"
