Chapter 81 It Couldn't Have Come Out of Nowhere
Mackenzie did what she said she would and forcefully took Jessica to the hospital again.
Jessica, of course, didn't have a fever, but it was time for her to have a follow-up examination.
The doctor who previously treated her at home didn't have the necessary equipment to determine her recovery, so after the examination at the hospital, the doctor suggested that she stay in the hospital and use professional rehabilitation machines to promote her recovery. This would ensure that her cervical spine wouldn't be injured again when she starts filming next week.
Jessica was suddenly inexplicably taken to the hospital by Mackenzie. She was even given a private room and was told by Mackenzie to follow the doctor's instructions and stay in the hospital for two days for rehabilitation.

"Why are you taking pictures of me?" Jessica quickly turned her body to prevent Mackenzie from taking any more.
"I need to keep these photos. I'll release them at an appropriate time to gain sympathy or something. Not many people can make hospital clothes look good and pitiful like you. It's a waste if I don't take a few pictures." Mackenzie looked satisfied at the photos on her cellphone.
Jessica sat by the hospital bed and said, "You're trying to portray a pitiful image of someone who has already changed into a second-rate character. Do you think everyone online is dumb?"
Mackenzie suddenly, she thought of the rumors that were spread about Jessica not too long ago.
In reality, Jessica's current situation was worrying. She wasn't famous yet, and the drama hadn't finished filming, but the various so-called "scandals" controlled by the haters had already accumulated. They were just waiting to brutally attack her when they saw any signs of her rising.

Seeing Mackenzie lost in thought, Jessica got up, took her cellphone, and deleted the photos.
Mackenzie didn't stop her. After taking back her cellphone, she looked at Jessica's calm expression and suddenly asked, "You were busy filming these past few days, and I didn't take the rumors seriously when I handled them. But it couldn't have just come out of nowhere. Do you really know Keegan?"
Jessica's gaze paused, then turned to Mackenzie.

Although she had seen Jessica as an extra on a movie set in the US two years ago, and signed her as an artist because of her good acting skills and uncommonly beautiful appearance, Mackenzie knew very little about Jessica's past, including who Danielle's father was. Jessica kept it to herself.
The only thing she knew was that a few years ago in the US, Jessica single-handedly raised Danielle while working and studying at Herlock Valley Academy. Although her life was financially tight, she excelled in all her studies, receiving straight A's, and she also mastered the languages of English, French, Japanese, and Korean. Mackenzie glanced at her again, not asking further. "Yes, the doctor said you've been recovering well at home these past few days, so it's alright to cooperate with two days of recovery in the hospital."
"Then, can you bring the script over later? I want to take some notes on the scenes we haven't shot yet, so that I can get back into the groove as soon as possible when I return to the set."

Mackenzie was thoughtful as she looked at Jessica. After some time, she asked, "Why are you wearing that thing around your neck these past few days? It seems inconvenient for everything. Caroline hasn't returned yet, so who's taking care of Danielle for you?"
Jessica raised her eyelids but didn't say anything. Mackenzie slapped her thigh and exclaimed, "It's that pretty boy again!"
Jessica was speechless. "Jessica, let me warn you. I don't care who you were before, but now you're my talent. You're not allowed to date during this stage. Even if you want to, you need to find someone reliable, someone who will stay at home and support you. It doesn't matter how good-looking they are!"
This was a huge misunderstanding!
Jessica rubbed her neck with one hand and placed the other on her forehead. She appeared weak and laid down on the hospital bed, saying, "I feel dizzy and my neck hurts. The doctor said I need more rest."

Then, she planned to send a message to Spencer to tell him that she wouldn't be going home for the next couple of days. However, a flash of her embarrassing moments in front of him at home these past few days appeared in her mind. Her fingers quickly paused on the screen.
She pursed her lips and closed the messaging app.
