Chapter 695 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 180
Rumors about Amy and Kevin had been circulating in their social circle, but Marshall, who seemed to have a bit of a crush on Amy, neither warned nor stopped Hugo from pursuing her. Hugo's desire to chase after Amy was undeniable.
Hugo definitely had a type.
However, Kevin never really gave him the chance to go after Amy.
"Hey, you're out for a morning run, but what's that on your arm?" Cindy asked.
Hugo snapped back to reality, glanced at the projection showing him, and said, "Oh, that's my phone. It's just a regular sports armband, specifically for holding my phone."
As he spoke, he gestured to show the size of the armband on his arm.
Since Hugo, like Brent, had no apparent motive for murder, everyone decided to reserve judgment and continued watching the projection.
Marshall played the next video.
The footage showed Gabriel appearing on the first floor just before 4 AM.
As everyone wondered why Gabriel was up so early, the video fast-forwarded fifteen minutes, showing Gabriel returning with the early morning mist from outside the hotel, carrying breakfast.
The guests were speechless.
"Don't even think about it, he went to get breakfast for Ms. Jenner," Clayton said while watching the projection.
"But why would Mr. Harriman go out so early just to get breakfast for Ms. Jenner?" Elise asked, turning to look at Gabriel.
The other guests also looked at him curiously.
Gabriel, who had been quietly standing with one hand in his pocket since the projection started, remained calm and composed. When he was suddenly mentioned, he simply lifted his eyelids and said, "Jessica hasn't had much of an appetite lately. I got her some breakfast she likes. Is that a problem?"
He then gave a cold glance at the guests who were looking at him with suspicion.
Seeing Gabriel's disinterest in participating in this "case" game, the guests didn't press further.
"Maurice, where did you go before you went to the kitchen? Did you go straight there?" Maurice asked.
Clayton scratched his head, "Before I went to the kitchen, I ran into the hotel cleaner and chatted for a bit, asking about the local customs and food habits of Oceancrest City. I thought the cameraman was following me, so I tried to get some screen time. It wasn't until I got to the kitchen and saw the scene that I realized the cameraman hadn't followed."
Brent rolled his eyes, "Asking Clayton is useless. His part is scripted, and asking him will just lead us into more traps."
Clayton shrugged helplessly, "Even though that's true, I genuinely don't know who the killer is."
Marshall replayed the footage of the cameraman checking each room. An hour later, he gathered all the guests in the hotel's third-floor conference room.
"Alright, the evidence collection phase is over. Now it's time for the presentation phase. Let me explain the current plan," Marshall said, glancing at his script. "As you all know, our show's budget is tight."
Upon hearing this, the guests resisted the urge to curse the director and rolled their eyes.
Marshall, aware that everyone was tired of hearing this, smiled and said, "I'll keep the explanation brief."
