Chapter 244 The Black Bentley Suddenly Stopped at the Main Entrance

Jessica was about to discuss recent business collaborations with Mackenzie and had gone to Whispering Pines with Zoey.

Whispering Pines was a six-star hotel-style club, offering guest rooms, entertainment facilities, and several function rooms suitable for company meetings.

Upon entering, Jessica approached the front desk to state her purpose. The receptionist, after hearing Zoey's words, was about to arrange a quiet break room for Jessica to rest while waiting for Mackenzie to finish her meeting.

Suddenly, from behind an antique-style decorative wall on the right, an elevator door painted in sandalwood color opened, and a charming, radiant woman stepped out.

Jessica didn't recognize the woman and naturally didn't look in that direction. She was about to take the room key to rest when Zoey suddenly whispered, "Jessica, look over there. Doesn't she look a bit like you?"

Jessica then looked in the direction Zoey indicated and saw a very sexy and beautiful woman. After a closer look, she asked, "Really?"

"Yes, especially around the eyes. She looks a lot like you," Zoey whispered, "I have some impression of her. She seems to be a supporting actress in a recent National Day romance film, named Patricia Inome, if I remember correctly. There was a particularly striking scene where she was abused, and her acting was quite good. She became the only supporting actress remembered besides the lead. Recently, she's gained a bit of fame. Our studio girls talked about her because she looks so much like you, which is why I noticed her."

Jessica wasn't someone with a surgically altered face, so it wasn't unusual to occasionally meet someone who looked a bit like her. However, this was the first time she had encountered someone so similar face-to-face.

But Jessica had no intention of getting involved with this person. There were too many people in the same industry who didn't recognize each other.

She was about to turn around with the room key when she suddenly heard Patricia's voice from behind, "Are you Jessica?"

Zoey and Jessica exchanged glances; the tone of Patricia's voice was unfriendly.

Jessica turned back to her but didn't respond.

Patricia immediately sized her up and then suddenly sneered, "Your crew is having a premiere across the street today, right? No wonder I ran into you here."

Jessica inquired, "Do we know each other?"

"No, but many people say I look like you," Patricia said dismissively, glancing at her again. "But why should that be? I don't see the resemblance. Even if there is, it should be you who looks like me."

Before she finished speaking, the elevator behind her stopped on the first floor, and a figure walked out.

Jessica looked past Patricia and saw that it was Keegan.

What was he doing here?

Patricia, with sharp ears, suddenly turned around and affectionately clung to Keegan's arm, saying sweetly, "Honey, I haven't eaten anything this morning. I'm so hungry. I want to have a steak."

Keegan, clearly just waking up from a hangover, was dressed neatly, but it was obvious that he was wearing yesterday's clothes, having slept here and not had time to change.

The moment he saw Jessica, he was immediately clung to by Patricia.

The sweet, sticky voice and affectionate gesture made it clear what had happened between them last night.

Keegan immediately looked at Jessica. His expression wasn't good, with a slight frown between his brows. Knowing that any explanation would be futile, he still said, "I drank too much last night at a social event."

Patricia, still clinging to his arm, interjected sweetly, "He really did drink too much and vomited a lot. I took care of you all night, even helped you shower. Andyou was still so annoying. I'm still sore from it."

Jessica remained silent.

Zoey opened her mouth in astonishment. Although she hadn't asked, she knew that the relationship between Jessica and Keegan was not that simple.

Patricia did look somewhat like Jessica. Could he be ...

Jessica didn't care about such explanations. Perhaps because she wasn't feeling well, she suddenly felt a bit nauseous.

She wasn't sure if Keegan had been clean these past few years. What she had told Trinity was true: many women did look somewhat like Jessica. But using that to attack Trinity was just a weapon. Now, seeing Patricia and Keegan together and thinking about what might have happened last night...

She wanted to gouge her eyes out for once believing in her youth that a crush and happiness could lead to a future with him.

She hoped that when Keegan was with these women, he didn't call out her name. Otherwise, she might really vomit in front of him. She hadn't eaten much these past few days due to her upset stomach, and vomiting would be quite embarrassing!

Jessica turned and walked away, feeling dizzy and not wanting to hear another word.

Keegan instinctively took a step forward. "Jessica..."

Patricia quickly raised her hand to hold him back. "Mr. Chloe, she is not an artist from Four Seas Entertainment, and don't you remember? She's a total gossip magnet. Getting involved with her is nothing but trouble. You almost ruined your reputation because of her before. It's better to stay away."

Jessica ignored them completely.

"Stop talking," Keegan said, his face darkening as he pushed Patricia's hand away. He looked back at Jessica, his expression somber and unreadable.

Patricia, undeterred, clung to him again, whining, "Mr. Chloe!"

"Mr. Chloe, you can't just ignore me after sleeping with me. Let's go eat something."

Keegan suddenly shook her hand off and, in a voice only she could hear, warned, "Mrs. Inome, I know very well whether or not anything happened between us last night. No matter how drunk I was, I didn't lose my memory. This ends here. Stop pestering me!"

Patricia's expression froze, her face turning pale and then red. She couldn't help but raise her voice, "I really don't get it. You don't want someone like Trinity, who comes from a prestigious family and can make you money. What is so good about that vixen Jessica? People say I look a lot like her. My family background is clean, my parents are in business. In terms of status and background, I'm much better than her. She's a nobody in this industry, why..."

Jessica didn't head to the elevator but instead turned towards the stairs leading to the second floor, where her lounge was located.

The voices behind her continued, "Charles II premieres tomorrow, but she still doesn't have a representative work. All her current popularity is due to scandals and bad press. Who knows how many old men she's slept with. She must be filthy."

Before Keegan could angrily push her away, a black Bentley suddenly stopped at the main entrance of Whispering Pines!
