Chapter 258 You and Jessica Are So Noisy in the Bedroom Tonight

The property manager quickly responded, "I know what to do now, Ms. Jenner. Sorry to bother you."

Jessica hung up abruptly and suddenly felt the seat next to her on the couch sink slightly. She turned to Gabriel, who was sitting beside her, his long arm draped behind her, gently patting her back in silent support and comfort.

He didn't say anything or ask any questions.

But the last time she was forcibly taken back to the Jenner family, Cynthia was sent by him to rescue her.

"Do you know everything about me?"

"Yes."

"When did you find out?"

"A few months ago, while investigating the car accident case, we discovered Trinity and unintentionally uncovered many secrets of the Jenner family," Gabriel said calmly and straightforwardly, "If you don't want to see them, you don't have to. There's no need to force yourself."

Jessica suddenly laughed as she sat there, tossing her phone casually onto the coffee table. "Isn't it ridiculous? The head of Sunroy Group has another daughter besides his precious jewel, the famous actress Trinity. And it turns out I'm Eugene's daughter. But from any angle, I don't seem like someone with such a background."

"But even if my last name is Jenner, what does it matter if I'm his daughter? For twenty-four years, the first time I was called 'Miss' by anyone in the Jenner family was when my biological father was eager to sell me off, branding me with the Jenner family name."

"What kind of young lady am I? I lived in the Jenner family for nineteen years, entirely in Trinity's shadow. Everything I ate, used, and wore were things she didn't want or had leftover. The servants never treated me as Eugene's daughter. The small, damp attic on the top floor of the Jenner family villa was my only place to stay. No love, no freedom, not even anyone knowing I existed. Everyone knew the Jenner family had only one daughter. I was just quietly listed in their household register. But five years ago, they even tried to erase that last trace of me. But now, he says he's my father?"

Gabriel suddenly pulled her into his arms, pressing her against his side, looking down at her from the couch, pulling her even closer.

"You're making progress, sharing your feelings with me."

Jessica fell silent.

She had been somewhat agitated just now, but now, she deflated like a punctured balloon, shrinking into his embrace.

Even if she killed Eugene, she couldn't deny the fact that she was his daughter.

"That's because since you already know, instead of letting you slowly discover my unspeakable past, I might as well tell you myself." Jessica raised an eyebrow in his arms. "With your family background and status, many socialites would love to have any connection with you. Are you sure you're not making a mistake with someone like me, who never received any proper treatment as a socialite?"

Gabriel joked, "I did make a mistake."

Jessica was confused.

He suddenly pinched her cheek. "I thought you were a coward who didn't dare to love or hate, but it turns out you're quite the jealous type."

Jessica retorted, "When was I ever jealous?"

"Where did all these socialites come from? You're making things up."

"I'm not making things up. Last year, wasn't there a granddaughter of some corporation who went on a hunger strike for days because you rejected her proposal, and she ended up in ICU? The year before, there was some A-list or B-list actress who saw you at a charity gala and then tried everything to get your attention, only to be repeatedly ignored by you. She got so angry that she publicly declared she would pursue you, but your company's legal department sent her a cease-and-desist letter, ruining her reputation. She even tried to jump off a building to force you to see her... Oh, and there was that other socialite, and that woman at Michael's birthday party who tried to cause trouble for me, what was her name..."

The more Jessica talked, the more animated she became until she noticed the deepening smile in Gabriel's eyes.

She paused, realizing what he was laughing at, and immediately stopped talking, trying to get up and escape. But Gabriel easily pulled her back, causing her to stumble back into his arms.

"Weren't you the one who said we weren't from the same world? When did you start paying attention to these old rumors about me?"

Jessica was speechless.

She let her guard down!

"I just heard it from my assistant, Zoey. She is especially gossipy." At this point, she could only temporarily shift the blame to Zoey.

"Mm, but you remember these random gossips so clearly?"

"It's just that gossip is a woman's nature!"

Gabriel lowered his head to kiss her earlobe, sending a shiver through Jessica's body as she heard his voice right by her ear. "Deny it all you want, but let's see how you explain this."

Jessica was just about to use the strength she had regained after recovering from her fever to resist in his arms when suddenly, the doorbell rang.

Five minutes later

Jessica sat on the couch with a composed expression, as if nothing had happened, making eye contact with Nicholas, who had just walked in with car keys.

Nicholas raised an eyebrow first, then glanced meaningfully at Gabriel.

Gabriel's face was full of displeasure. "Couldn't you call before coming over?"

"I left my phone at the Harriman residence. I was in a hurry and only brought my car keys. Luckily, I had a Blue Bay Apartments access card in the car."

"What do you mean?" Gabriel's stern expression showed he had a bad feeling.

"I got kicked out by Michael. My phone and bank cards are all at home, and I didn't bring my ID either. I have nowhere to go, so I came to you."

Jessica was confused.

Was Michael really that heartless?

However, Gabriel was even more heartless than Michael. "I don't have a place for you to stay."

"How can you not have a place? When you renovated this apartment, you didn't plan for guests, so there aren't many bedrooms. But there's a foldable bed in the study that hasn't been used, and this couch is big enough. I can sleep here; I don't mind!"

Gabriel mercilessly replied, "I mind."

Jessica silently watched, sipping a glass of water.

"Gabriel, you can't be so cold-hearted. I came to you because I had nowhere else to go. It's already this late, and I haven't had dinner. There's not even a piece of bread in the car. My situation is pitiful enough to make anyone cry. How can you abandon your own brother in such a state?"

Seeing that Gabriel wasn't swayed, Nicholas decided to go all out. "I promise, I'll just stay the night and leave in the morning. No matter how noisy you and Jessica get in the bedroom tonight, I'll pretend I didn't hear anything and won't disturb you!"

Jessica spat out her water. "Pfft... cough, cough!"
