Chapter 624 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 109

"What did you just say?" Lester snapped, spinning around with a look that said he was ready to throw down with Brent.

"Enough, we're filming a show here, not at a farmers' market," Melissa hissed quietly, giving Brent's wrist a gentle tug, signaling him to let it go. She didn't want a couple of words to escalate into a full-blown conflict, making everyone look bad on camera.

Brent had been itching to snap back at Lester. He'd had enough of Lester and Rachel's antics. If it weren't for Jessica and Mr. Harriman's laid-back attitude and the fact that all the other guests got along well, except for this odd pair, he wouldn't have held back.

Brent chuckled softly, locking eyes with Lester, and said in a calm but firm voice, "If we weren't filming, I'd have already knocked you out. Keep that in mind."

"Oh yeah? Try it!" Lester stepped forward, ready to grab Brent by the collar.

Brent didn't flinch, almost as if he was waiting for Lester to make the first move.

"Enough!" Jessica suddenly interjected just as Clayton and Kevin were about to step in and break it up. "Are all you guys always this hot-headed? If you've got this much energy, why not help me chop some ribs in the villa?"

Lester and Brent still looked pissed, but the other male guests pulled them apart, and the voices of reason started to calm them down. Marshall, sensing the situation was getting out of hand, had the crew step in and issue a warning.

The two reluctantly backed down, but every time their eyes met, it was clear they were still fuming.

"Jessica, what ribs are you talking about? Where did they come from?" Melissa asked.

Jessica seized the moment, smiling and calling out to the director, "Marshall, how about you give us that bag of ribs in the villa's fridge for lunch today? We'll trade you the oysters and crabs Clayton just brought up!"

"Isn't that a bad deal for us? Oysters and crabs are expensive, especially these big oysters," Brent said, holding up two large oysters from the bucket to show their size.

Clayton clicked his tongue, "We're stuck on this island for another day, maybe even tomorrow. We need these oysters and seafood, but we don't have any ribs."

Brent raised an eyebrow, glancing at Marshall, "Do we really have ribs?"

Marshall coughed, looking at Jessica, then at Gabriel, who was silently but clearly backing Jessica's decision, and finally at the other guests' expectant faces, and Lester's still simmering anger.

"Alright, since you found out, you can have the ribs. We'll take the oysters and crabs."

"Half and half," Gabriel said firmly.

Everyone thought Marshall would take everything, but Gabriel's rare intervention made Marshall pause. He hesitated, glanced at Gabriel, then coughed again, "Fine, half and half. Or you give us all the crabs, and you keep the oysters?"

The guests, except Jessica, were speechless.

Crabs over oysters? What was Marshall thinking?

Marshall laughed, "Our crew loves crabs at our get-togethers. These fresh crabs are a rare treat, so we'll take them."
