Chapter 300 Danielle is My Daughter
The principal knew he couldn't afford to compensate, nor could he afford to offend them.
This kindergarten was the most prestigious private school in Xyleria, backed by a powerful owner with political connections abroad. But the parents who sent their kids here were also wealthy and influential, not easy to cross. Each parent was more powerful than the next, and the principal had to handle the situation delicately.
Tommy's parents, Trevor and Heather, sat on the sofa in the principal's , untouched cups of water in front of them.
Trevor looked grim, holding Tommy close. Tommy was crying in pain, leaning against his dad. Heather angrily scolded, "That Danielle is from a single-parent family? Just a mom, right? We have all kinds of people in this kindergarten, even celebrities. I know her mom is in the entertainment industry. There's a confidentiality agreement when enrolling, but with something like this happening, even if she's a superstar, she has to come out and apologize to our Tommy!"
The principal said, "Yes, we'll communicate with Ms. Jenner. But she is probably busy this afternoon. The teacher called her once, but she didn't answer. However, we did reach someone else from Danielle's family."
"Someone else? Who? Isn't that wild child supposed to have only a mom? No dad, so who else could there be?" Heather sneered, "We don't chase after celebrities. Plenty of stars want to curry favor with our company. This Danielle with the last name Jenner, she looks a bit like that popular actress Jessica, doesn't she?"
Heather rolled her eyes. "Who even cares about celebrities anymore? We have connections in the industry, too. Isn't her agency Star Entertainment? Trevor and I have dealings with them. Make her bring Danielle here to apologize to our Tommy personally. If she doesn't, we can have Mr. Turner from Star Entertainment blacklist her, ruin her career, and make sure she can't survive in the industry. And her having a daughter is probably still a secret, right? Normally, we wouldn't gossip about such things, but if she doesn't apologize..."
"These two kids fighting, there's no need to blow it out of proportion," the principal said, trying to mediate. "Tommy's mom, please give us some time. We'll contact Danielle's mom, Jessica, and try to resolve this privately."
"I don't accept mediation! Either an apology and compensation, or Jessica's career is over! Tommy got beaten up, and that fatherless wild child won't have a peaceful day in this kindergarten!" Heather slammed her expensive handbag on the coffee table.
"Who do you think won't have a peaceful day in Xyleria?"
A cold, deep male voice suddenly echoed from the principal's office door.
Trevor, Heather, and the principal turned to look, only to see Danielle being led in by a tall, imposing man.
Danielle had been scolded by Heather in the kindergarten, and the teachers couldn't stop it. When she saw Heather's fierce look, she stopped in her tracks, afraid to go further.
Gabriel held her hand, looking down at her. "Danielle?"
He squeezed her little hand, his warm hand enveloping her chubby one.
Landon, behind them, softly said to Danielle, "Danielle, don't be afraid."
Danielle hesitated for a moment before following Gabriel inside.
Heather was about to jump up when she noticed the man who walked in. Her eyes moved up, and upon recognizing Gabriel, she frowned and then looked in shock at Trevor, who had stood up from the sofa.
Heather thought, 'Wasn't this Mr. Harriman?'
The principal, not being in the business world, didn't recognize him immediately and politely asked, "Who are you?"
The kindergarten teacher followed them in but didn't know how to introduce him.
Gabriel placed Danielle in front of him, his hand gently resting on her head. When he looked at the principal, His gaze was cold, and his voice was crystal clear. . "I'm Danielle's father."
Heather and Trevor were both silent.
Tommy, with his swollen eyes, was still crying, "Dad, it hurts!"
Trevor quickly covered Tommy's mouth, unsure how to react to this unexpected parent.
The principal was momentarily stunned and thought, 'Wasn't Danielle from a single-parent family? Doesn't she only have a mom?'
The principal instinctively looked at Danielle. "Danielle? Is this your dad?"
Danielle stood in front of Gabriel, feeling the warmth of his hand on her head. She looked a bit dazed but turned to look at Gabriel when the principal asked.
Gabriel looked down at her, his expression encouraging and affirming his previous statement.
Danielle blinked, still a bit confused, but then turned to the principal and nodded vigorously.
The principal, though puzzled, looked at the dignified Gabriel and was about to speak when Trevor suddenly said, "Mr. Harriman, this joke isn't funny. Your last name is Harriman, but Danielle's last name is Jenner. How could..."
Gabriel turned his gaze, coolly glancing at the little boy, Tommy, beside Trevor. After a moment, his eyes fell on Trevor. "I said Danielle is my daughter. Is there a problem?"
Gabriel's gaze was as cold as a winter chill.
Trevor replied immediately, "No problem."
The principal finally seemed to understand and suddenly asked, "So you two know each other?"
Trevor and Heather didn't know how to respond, covering Tommy's mouth to stop his crying, looking at Gabriel in shock and disbelief.
How could they not know him?
Their family was the legal entity and beneficiary of Xyleria Vertex Global Holdings. Just a week ago, they participated in the Harriman Group's investment bidding for next year, trying every possible way to meet Gabriel, hoping to exchange a few words and get acquainted.
Who would have thought that the person, Gabriel, they tried so hard to meet a week ago would appear here today!
Gabriel ignored Trevor and Heather's shocked expressions, but Trevor could feel the cold aura emanating from Gabriel since he walked into the office after hearing their conversation.
