Chapter 400 Who Would Have Thought Gabriel Would Also Show Up on Set One Day

Jessica gave a half-hearted nod, not really in the mood to chat with the hyper eighteen-year-old Amy.

Amy shot her a skeptical look, "You better keep your word, or I'll have my cousin blacklist you."

Jessica didn't react, so Amy pressed on, "Do you even know who my cousin is?"

Jessica knew but didn't want to get into it, so she just said, "No clue."

"I've been on set for days, and you don't even know my background?" Amy blocked Jessica's path, her face all animated, "My cousin is Nicholas, the boss of Harriman Entertainment! And my other cousin is even more impressive! Also named Harriman, isn't that amazing?"

Jessica replied, "Super impressive."

Seeing Jessica's lack of interest, Amy felt satisfied and nodded, "Good, just stay away from my idol, or I'll have them blacklist you."

Zoey couldn't help but smirk.

Jessica stifled a laugh, "Alright, I get it, kiddo. Can I get back to the car now?"

Amy looked at her again, then suspiciously at the assistant next to her, "Why are you two laughing?"

"No, you got it wrong. I just finished shooting two scenes, I'm really tired and want to rest. We can chat later." Jessica quickly got into the RV after speaking.

Zoey followed her in and let out a long breath, clearly holding it in, "So childish! This little girl from South Korea, if it weren't for her family connections, Sam wouldn't have taken her in and given her scenes and lines. Let her be an extra for a few years and she'll know how tough the world is."

Jessica smirked, not minding, "She's just back from abroad, doesn't know much about the domestic scene, right?"

"Not just doesn't know, she's completely clueless. She might know a bit about Kevin and your on-screen couple fans, so she's hostile towards you. But with her daily rehearsals in South Korea, she probably hasn't looked into your situation at all."

"No wonder."

Zoey was right; Amy really didn't understand Jessica's situation.

In the afternoon, Amy suddenly came knocking on the RV door again, slipped in like an eel, and clung to Jessica's arm, chattering, "I asked a lot of people in the crew and found out you're married and have a daughter! I take back what I said this morning, it was a mix-up! My bad!"

Jessica looked at the hand suddenly clinging to her, her brow twitching, "No need to apologize, as long as there's no mix-up. Let's keep things chill on set."

"But I'm still curious about how you interact with my idol. I'll definitely stick around you more in the future. Since you're not interested in him, I won't bother Nicholas! Let's be open about it. I just returned and just have few friends. You don't mind having one more friend, right?"

Jessica was confused and thought.

'Kid, what are you thinking?

Enemies in the morning, friends in the afternoon?

Isn't that a bit too hasty?'

"To show my sincerity, I'll tell you a secret. You might have guessed it, but just in case you didn't." Amy leaned in and whispered in Jessica's ear, "Being friends with me is definitely worth it! My cousin is Gabriel, the head of Harriman Group, the legendary Mr. Harriman with the poker face! Many people can't even get a glimpse of him!"'Was this what being eighteen was like?

If Danielle ever grew up and acts like this, Jessica would be the first to set her straight.

Amy clung to Jessica's arm, "Even though I rarely see him, if I ask my mom, he might do me a favor. Plus, having more friends is always a good thing. I can protect you in the entertainment industry!"

Zoey couldn't hold back anymore, "How many scenes do you have in this movie? How are you gonna protect her with your less than five lines?"

Amy turned and glared at Zoey, not wanting to engage, and Zoey rolled her eyes back.

In just a few minutes, Jessica struggled to get off the RV with her script amidst the constant eye-rolling between the two.

The air outside was so refreshing!

The evening scene needed special effects with a green screen and it was a night rain scene.

It connected with the script's earlier punishment scene, so she wore the cheongsam with a high slit on the side again.

Jessica ran through the artificial rain curtain over ten times, either because the rain wasn't cooperating, the extras weren't on time, or the actor in the scene couldn't keep his eyes open in the rain, messing up his lines.

The shoot was so tough that when they finally wrapped up, it was already evening.

Jessica, drenched from head to toe, didn't care about her disheveled state and went to the director to watch the playback.

Suddenly, a crew member whispered, "Mr. Harriman is here."

Jessica heard but didn't think much of it, assuming it was Nicholas, as he was also a CEO.

Another crew member asked quietly, "Mr. Harriman? He's familiar with the director and producer, and his company invested in the movie. Isn't it normal for him to visit?"

"Not Mr. Nicholas Harriman, it's Mr. Gabriel Harriman, the one from Harriman Group."

The air went silent instantly, even Sam, the man who was watching the playback, turned his head immediately, "Who?"

The director first asked Jessica.

Because Jessica was standing close to him, if he heard wrong, Jessica should have heard wrong too. He was clearly looking for Jessica to confirm if his ears were playing tricks on him.

Jessica paused before asking, "Which Mr. Harriman? Gabriel?"

"Yes, that one!"

Sam was surprised, "Did he come with Mr. Nicholas Harriman?"

"No, I didn't see Mr. Nicholas Harriman. Mr. Gabriel Harriman seems to have come alone, with just an assistant driving. There was no one else in the car. I saw Mr. Gabriel Harriman's car drive directly into the set when I was bringing in props." The crew member pointed outside the green screen studio.

Sam found it strange, given Gabriel's usual style, he never got involved in the entertainment industry.

It was so hard to see him at formal events, seeing him at the launch event was already a big deal. Who would have thought Gabriel would show up on set one day?

Sam asked, "Did Mr. Gabriel Harriman mention why he's here? What's he doing here?"

"No idea, I just caught a glimpse and came in to deliver props. I haven't been out since." The crew member scratched his head, looking innocent.
