Chapter 703 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 188
Amy was just as shocked. "I can't believe I got voted too."
The female contestants were totally blindsided, their eyes darting around angrily, ready to confront whoever had secretly voted for them.
"Alright, let's see the current votes," Marshall continued in his calm, measured tone. "Melissa, one vote... Amy, one vote... Maurice, two votes... Elise, two votes..."
Elise's eyes widened instantly. "I got two votes?"
Hugo, sitting next to her, stifled a laugh and casually covered his face with his hand to hide his amusement.
Elise noticed immediately and discreetly kicked him under the table.
Hugo quickly dodged, grimacing and whispering, "Why are you kicking me? I didn't vote for you!"
"It was definitely you!" Elise shot him a glare.
Marshall's voice continued, unhurried. "Kevin, three votes."
Kevin raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"Hugo, three votes."
Hugo suddenly pressed Elise's leg down with his own, whispering, "Don't think I don't know you voted for me!"
Elise snorted but didn't deny it.
"Now, the two people with the highest votes. Guess who has the most?" Marshall looked at Brent and Clayton.
Suddenly put on the spot, Brent and Clayton were speechless.
Brent's face was a picture of despair. "Great, there goes the budget."
"Stop pretending, it's you!" Clayton kicked him.
Brent, too distressed about the impending loss of funds, ignored him.
Clayton turned and asked, "Is Brent the one with the highest votes?"
Marshall smiled. "Brent, five votes."
Clayton's eyes widened, but he quickly did the math and realized something was off.
Brent also turned his gaze to Clayton.
Marshall continued, "Clayton, six votes."
Of course.
Brent breathed a sigh of relief, confident that the budget was safe. He crossed his arms and leaned back, giving Clayton a smug look, as if waiting for him to acknowledge Brent as the leader.
Clayton's mouth twitched in frustration. "What were you all thinking? Why vote for me? I'm not the killer!"
Elise leaned over to Jessica and whispered, "Ms. Jenner, who did you vote for?"
Jessica chuckled softly. "Clayton."
Elise was surprised. "Are you sure it's Clayton?"
"Not sure, just picked someone," Jessica admitted.
She already knew the real killer but couldn't vote for them, so she decided to send Clayton, the unlucky one, out first.
Marshall hadn't revealed the final result yet. Jessica took a sip of water and glanced at Gabriel.
Gabriel remained calm and composed. Seeing her look at him, he knew the truth was about to come out. He didn't speak but smiled confidently.
"The killer is probably between Clayton and Brent. They were arguing pretty intensely earlier," Cindy said, selling out her husband.
Clayton looked at Cindy helplessly. "Honey, did you vote for me, too?"
"No, but you've been acting suspicious since yesterday," Cindy said, moving her chair away to keep a distance from the supposed killer.
Clayton was speechless.
Brent watched the drama unfold with his legs crossed.
Marshall's voice cut through the tension. "Now, will the real killer please stand up and reveal the results to everyone?"
