Chapter 718 Sweet Extras of Couple Variety Show 203

Jessica was momentarily distracted by Brent's enthusiastic attempt to ride the pony when Gabriel's voice whispered in her ear, "Didn't know you had so much on your mind."

Jessica snapped back to her previous thoughts.

She tried to move forward a bit, but Gabriel's hand, which had been resting on the horse's mane, quickly wrapped around her waist, holding her in place. His warm breath tickled her ear, "Don't overthink it. We'll get a chance to go back to the Harriman family ranch and make those thoughts real."

Jessica was speechless.

She turned her head abruptly, "What thoughts are you talking about?" She raised her voice a bit to cover up her embarrassment and guilt, but only Gabriel could hear her over the wind.

Gabriel looked at her with a gentle smile, his seemingly calm eyes hiding a spark ignited by their close contact while riding. He hadn't intended to do anything, but Jessica was so sensitive and smart, she instantly understood everything.

As soon as she met his gaze, Jessica, who had initially wanted to be angry, found herself unable to stay mad. She awkwardly tried to move forward but couldn't, so she lowered her head and bit his arm, her mouth pressed against his sleeve as she mumbled, "Stop pressing against me."

Gabriel's deep laughter continued, the horse ran fast, and the wind was strong, but she heard it clearly, her ears burning. She was so dazed that she barely remembered how they reached the finish line.

Despite the horse's speed, Jessica sat steadily, her abdomen feeling no discomfort.

The ranch was large, and after completing a lap, some guests who hadn't ridden before, like Melissa, were so sore they collapsed onto lounge chairs.

Jessica later realized Gabriel wasn't showing off or teasing her; he was just worried about her and the baby.

Seeing those guests lying motionless on the chairs, Jessica cleared her dry throat and took a sip of the bottled water handed to her by a staff member.

She then heard laughter and saw Brent finally reach the finish line on the cute white pony.

Out of the six pairs of guests, Kevin and Amy were the fastest, Jessica and Gabriel came in third, Brent and the pony managed to get fourth, and Maurice and his wife were fifth.

No wonder Jessica thought Brent wasn't running too slow; Gabriel hadn't let their horse run too fast either.

"Mr. Harriman, this pony is adorable and definitely the cutest among all our horses, but its legs are short. I really tried my best," Brent complained to Gabriel, almost in tears for not getting first place.

"I can see you tried your best," Gabriel gave a fair assessment but didn't say whether the matter was over.

Clayton, who had come in second, approached Brent with his prize, teasing, "Not getting first place? Are you just going to accept that?"

Brent turned to grab the prize from Clayton, which was the selection rights for the afternoon's activities, only available to the top three. The bottom three had to wait to be chosen.

Clayton quickly dodged, shouting as he ran behind Gabriel.

The two men started playfully wrestling around Gabriel, and Jessica, who had been watching the commotion, was almost knocked over. In a blink, Gabriel pulled her into his arms.
