Melissa said, "But we were all sitting together then. Everyone can back each other up. Even the director's camera shows the same thing. None of us went to the kitchen, and when we came here, we all came together."
Hugo scanned the room. "What about before that? Before we came down from our hotel rooms, did anyone come here?" He raised an eyebrow. "The director said the cameras only started rolling after we came downstairs, so there's no footage from before that."
Elise suddenly laughed and lightly tapped Hugo's arm. "Hugo, you're so serious. Could it be that you're the culprit?"
Hugo gave her a blank look.
Elise stifled her laughter and said no more.
While everyone was busy presenting their alibis, Clayton sighed and pointed at the fake corpse. "Honestly, I just want to know what our crew's cook looks like. From the first episode until now, I've never seen his face. And now he's dead, and we still don't know what he looks like!"
Kevin chuckled and patted Clayton on the shoulder. "Maybe he just didn't want you to see him."
Amy was about to step forward to check for any other details on the body.
Kevin glanced at her and was about to join her when Hugo suddenly reached out and gently stopped Amy. "Amy, let's not look at such a gruesome scene."
As he spoke, his arm naturally moved to pull Amy closer to him.
Kevin watched Hugo, but Hugo, pretending not to notice Kevin's glare, continued to lead Amy away from the scene.
Amy was a bit surprised and looked at Hugo, but she didn't push him away. She then turned to Kevin, feeling a bit confused.
She met Kevin's disapproving gaze.
Amy didn't think Kevin would be jealous. After all, it hadn't been long since Kevin's unexpected confession. She was still processing it. Now, with Hugo's actions, she felt a bit guilty towards Kevin.
"Where do you think you're putting your hand?" Amy quickly slapped Hugo's hand away from her waist.
Hugo quickly withdrew his hand, rubbed his nose, and laughed. "I wasn't really holding you. I just wanted to pull you away. There was still some distance between my hand and your waist."
Despite his words, the smile in his eyes showed he was doing it on purpose.
Amy paused for a moment, and Kevin seemed to understand something. He suddenly turned to look at the director.
Marshall, however, pretended not to notice Kevin's gaze and continued to assign new tasks to the guests with a serious demeanor.
After a while, feeling Kevin's persistent stare, Marshall finally gave in. "Uh, Hugo, can you draw a circle around the body? Be careful not to disturb any other evidence."
Hugo finally moved away from Amy. Amy, feeling a bit bewildered, walked back to Kevin. She looked up at him and then took a small step back, instinctively keeping her distance.
To her surprise, Kevin silently stepped closer to her, and as Amy looked up, he positioned himself to shield her from Hugo's occasional glances.
