Chapter 594 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 79
As Melissa spoke, she leaned over to glance at Lester, who was sitting next to Rachel. Seeing Lester with his eyes closed, looking completely uninterested, she decided not to disturb him and said, "Rachel, no matter how big the argument was, it's time to let it go. You should make up."
She said this in a whisper.
Rachel responded with a tone that was hard to read—whether she was serious or just brushing it off—and then smiled, "We didn't really have a fight. This is just how we are. We're not overly sweet. We only talk when there's something to say or do. We're both so busy that when we have downtime, we'd rather rest."
Even though Melissa was young and perhaps a bit naive, she could tell that Rachel was being dismissive. It was clear that Rachel intended to keep things this way with Lester for the entire twelve episodes of the show.
If they were already this indifferent, they would probably go their separate ways once the show ended.
Melissa decided not to say anything more. Brent, sitting next to her, gently pinched her waist, signaling her to pull back and stop leaning so far toward Rachel.
Melissa turned and glared at him, "Did you just pinch me?"
Brent raised an eyebrow, "Your husband is sitting right next to you. Where are you looking?"
Melissa rolled her eyes at him but couldn't help smiling. She playfully slapped his arm, and Brent took her hand and held it. Their actions were subtle, but the live camera caught them perfectly.
Fans in the live chat were all expressing their envy and admiration for such a display of affection.
Looking around the bus, each family and team had their dynamic.
Clayton was already asleep in the back row, his luggage bag placed securely beside him. Cindy leaned against the bag for better support, as long bus rides could be tough on the back.
Kevin was flipping through an old magazine provided on the bus. It was several months old and not particularly interesting, but it helped pass the time.
Next to him, Amy had put on her wireless headphones early on. No one knew how loud the music was except Amy, but at least she could immerse herself in it and not pay too much attention to Kevin.
While Brent and Melissa were subtly showing off their affection, Maurice and Debra, being older, had put on earplugs and eye masks as soon as they got on the bus and had been resting quietly ever since. It was unclear if they were asleep, but they hadn't moved much.
Gabriel sat upright in his seat, wearing an eye mask. Even though the other male celebrities had gradually adopted more relaxed postures, Gabriel maintained his composed demeanor. Jessica leaned against his shoulder, eyes closed, whispering something to him.
The live camera couldn't pick up their conversation, but Jessica's eyes had a mischievous glint. Gabriel's usually expressionless face showed a fleeting hint of a smile and a sigh. He then tilted his head slightly and seemed to say something to Jessica. From his lip movements, it looked like he said, "You are something else." Jessica, leaning on his shoulder, immediately broke into a wide smile, covering her face with her hand, clearly delighted.
