Chapter 36 Bearing the Consequences

Gabriel's voice was crisp and cold, "Landon, How about SH Entertainment?"

The usual composure in the voice from the other end bore an undeniable excitement, "Gabriel!"

Knowing that Landon was emotional when he learned Gabriel was indeed still alive, Gabriel stayed silent, affording him a moment to regain his composure.

Landon, the CEO's assistant, was efficient and comprehensive in his work, favoring brevity in his speech. He didn't need to say much—just confirmation that Gabriel was alive was enough, and there was no need for extra words. He maintained firm loyalty and trust in Gabriel.

Just a few seconds later, Landon's voice regained his steadfast composure, "SH Entertainment is one of the top-tier film and entertainment companies in the country."
He stood there with a phone in one hand and quickly tapped away at his laptop keyboard with the other. His report relayed the information he gathered through a special network truthfully: "The artists signed under their company are all very famous within the industry. They started investing in the film business five years ago and have become a significant force in the domestic entertainment media sector. The power behind SH Entertainment is the eldest son of the Davis family, Keegan."

"Go do something for me," Gabriel said nonchalantly.

The next day, after Mackenzie finished his morning tasks, he rushed to call Jessica.

Before he could make the call, his cellphone rang, and seeing it was the production company, he quickly answered.

After hanging up, Mackenzie was dumbfounded , staring up at the sky.

What in the world is going on? Just Yesterday, they were saying Jessica couldn't play the part, and now suddenly, she must be the one to play it.

Xyleria is a high-end apartment located on the fiftieth floor in the city center.

"What?" Trinity was getting her nails done at home when her assistant, Lisa, hurried in and whispered Something in her ear. She abruptly looked at her assistant as if trying to spot any trace of a lie on her face.

Lisa nodded with certainty: "The news just came from the company, and we're probably going to get a call about it soon."

Immediately, Trinity's face turned sour as she pulled her hands away from the manicurist and called Joseph.

It took a while for the other end to answer.

Not waiting for Joseph to speak, Trinity said irritably, "What do you mean Jessica's part can't be taken back? Has the issue reached the company's upper management? How powerful is Jessica? Can she prevent one of SH Entertainment's artists from taking her role?"

Joseph tried to calm her with a soothing tone, " There's really no way around it. First, Murdock, has some different views on changing the cast. And what makes it difficult for us to maneuver in this situation, even if you have never dealt with them, you should know that anyone from Pegasus Global Holdings is not to be taken lightly, let alone…"

Trinity was confused: "What is this Pegasus Global Holdings? What do they have to do with any of this?"

Joseph, too, hadn't expected Jessica to have any connection with Pegasus Global Holdings.
He had not yet fully processed the news himself. He could only cautiously say, "Pegasus Global Holdings has also sent word - all of Charlie II's future roles and storylines must continue with the original production team. Either secure the lead spot for Jessica or let her keep playing the second lead - otherwise, brace yourself for the consequences."

Trinity suddenly scoffed, "Pegasus Global Holdings? Who are they? Just because someone claims to be from Pegasus Global Holdings, does that make it true? Is this not just some swindler hired by Jessica?"

"The one speaking is the CEO of River View Pictures, the principal investor of our series. When the big boss himself says the order comes from above, who else could it possibly be in such a position besides the Harriman family?"
