Chapter 567 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 52
A cameraman was busy capturing close-up shots of each couple working, while Jessica was helping Debra and Maurice secure more rubber buckets.
Gabriel was handling the work meant for two people, and even on his own, he was outperforming many of the other couples.
Jessica was sweating profusely from running back and forth. Gabriel managed to find a moment to stop her as she passed by, grabbing her wrist and pulling her to a shaded spot. He gently wiped her forehead and asked, "Feeling better?"
Gabriel was referring to the slight nausea Jessica had felt earlier when they first entered the rubber tree grove.
"I'm good now. After having the salad noodles for lunch, I felt much better. I think the convenience store meal I had this morning was a bit too greasy."
Seeing that Jessica was indeed feeling better, Gabriel released her wrist but reminded her to speak up if she felt unwell. He emphasized that anyone could suffer from heatstroke, not just Debra, and that Jessica, while not in poor health, wasn't exceptionally robust either.
"I know, I know," Jessica replied, wiping the sweat from her forehead before turning back to her tasks.
Gabriel watched her briskly walk away before returning to his work by the rubber trees.
Marshall observed the scene from a distance through the remote camera feed, raising an eyebrow. The producer beside him commented quietly, "Jessica really doesn't care about her public image or this industry. Other couples on these shows are eager to show off their affection to attract attention, but she and Mr. Harriman just go about their business without any fuss."
Marshall recalled the time in Washington when Jessica was dealing with the Jenner family issues, running between home and his office, while Gabriel was unconscious from the Golden Fortune Restaurant fire. He remembered Jessica's state during that period.
Marshall smiled faintly, watching the replay on the monitor and murmured, "Only insecure relationships need constant display. True couples support each other naturally, without needing to show off their love. This show's real purpose is for fans to observe which couples have the best relationships and learn how to truly interact as partners. It's great."
The producer chuckled, unable to hide his excitement, "Exactly. Just look at the replay from yesterday's pilot episode. The scene where Gabriel and Jessica shared a kiss in the tent, thinking they were off-camera, has already hit over a billion views in less than twenty-four hours."
Marshall was surprised, "Really? It was only at sixty million when I checked this morning."
"It's over a billion now. It's only been a few hours since you last checked. The views will likely keep rising over the weekend."
Marshall couldn't resist checking his phone, confirming the billion views. He looked back at the monitor, observing each couple's performance, and murmured, "Today's fans aren't easily fooled. Genuine love is natural and harmonious, striking a chord with viewers."
His gaze shifted to Amy, who was clumsily trying to collect rubber, frustratedly bumping her forehead against a tree. He then glanced at Kevin, who, despite his obvious headache, went over to help her.
