Chapter 354 Gabriel Grabbed Her Wrist with a Dark Expression on His Face.
Jessica spent a few minutes in the bathroom wiping her face, but her stomach was churning. She couldn't hold it in any longer.
Maybe she should find a bathroom on another floor.
She stood up, acting like nothing happened, and headed for the door. As she passed two women, they smiled politely. "Jessica, done with your makeup?"
Jessica smiled and nodded, then quickly left.
'Makeup? She didn't even have a makeup bag.'
'She was clearly eavesdropping on us.'
The two women silently judged her but kept quiet. The shoot had just started, and they didn't want to risk their roles.
Jessica's stomach churned. Clutching the tissue, she rushed to find the elevator. Just as she turned a corner, she bumped into someone. The impact was so sudden she almost threw up. She quickly mumbled, "Sorry, sorry," trying to get past.
But the passageway was blocked by chairs. She couldn't get through.
"Sorry, can you let me through?" she asked.
Then she noticed the familiar cufflinks. Her heart skipped a beat. She looked up and saw Gabriel's stern face.
Jessica's first instinct was to step back.
But her body had other plans.
She couldn't cover her mouth in time.
The next second, she vomited all over Gabriel's expensive suit and shoes.
The sight made her want to vomit more.
Mackenzie had just noticed Jessica was missing. After asking Kevin, she learned Jessica had gone to the bathroom and went to find her.
Before she got there, she saw the scene unfold from a distance. She covered her eyes, grabbed Jessica's bag, and quietly returned to the table, acting like nothing happened.
Kevin saw her return quickly. "Where's Jessica? Didn't you bring her back?"
"She's fine. She already threw up," Mackenzie said calmly.
Kevin frowned. "She threw up? Where? Shouldn't we help her back?"
"No need. Don't worry about it."
Meanwhile, Jessica knew exactly what she had done and who she had vomited on, but she couldn't help it.
After vomiting, she didn't dare look up. She just saw the mess on Gabriel and kept apologizing, "I am so sorry. I accidentally drank too much."
Jessica quickly covered her mouth, fearing she might vomit again, but only gagged loudly.
Gabriel, looking livid, grabbed her wrist to push her away.
Jessica stumbled, almost falling. He held her wrist until she regained her balance, his face cold. "What did I ever do to you?!"
Jessica wanted to apologize but could only bow her head and repeatedly say, "I'm sorry, Mr. Harriman. I drank too much. I'm really sorry."
All she could do was apologize and blame it on the alcohol.
Landon rushed over and saw the mess. "Mr. Harriman, there are spare clothes in the car."
Gabriel's icy demeanor scared off others who were planning to use the bathroom. They decided to go to another floor instead.
Jessica kept her head down, bowing and apologizing. No one could clearly see who she was, but her dress looked familiar.
"I'll pay for your suit. I really didn't mean to. I'm sorry," she kept saying.
Gabriel's temple throbbed as he let go of her. Jessica almost fell forward, but he quickly grabbed her shoulder. "Landon, hold her."
Landon stepped forward, holding Jessica by the shoulder, not daring to touch her anywhere else. Gabriel took off his soiled jacket and went into the bathroom to clean up. Landon, feeling helpless, held the still-confused Jessica, who kept apologizing to the air.
Five minutes later, Gabriel walked out and saw Jessica leaning against the wall, still muttering "sorry".
He glanced at Landon. "Didn't Mackenzie come with her? Where is she?"
"She ran off."
"Ran off?"
"Mackenzie said she saw you having trouble and left with Ms. Jenner's bag," Landon said, exasperated.
"I'll call her." Feeling Gabriel's icy stare, Landon quickly took out his phone to call Mackenzie.
After a few seconds, Landon looked up at Gabriel. "Mackenzie hung up."
Suddenly, Jessica, leaning against the wall, shouted at the air, "It's just a suit! I'll pay for it! Why are you glaring at me? I didn't even curse!"
Then, as if she had split personalities, she turned to the other side and sincerely said, "I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to."
