Chapter 614 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 99
Jessica chuckled in his arms.
"I've always been pretty chill, willing to talk about anything with you. I haven't done anything too crazy. Why would you need to 'compromise' with me?"
"You're right, there's no need. Some women just take advantage of the fact that I spoil them, respect them, and indulge them. They show their stubbornness and pride only to me. Your fans and colleagues would never guess how you act when you're being unreasonable or throwing a tantrum," Gabriel said, gently squeezing the back of her neck.
Jessica almost burst out laughing in his arms. "I thought I was understanding, gentle, and graceful. When did I give you this impression? Is it because I'm too strict with Danielle's studies? Do you and Danielle secretly talk bad about me?"
Gabriel ignored Jessica's rare playful complaint, his hand softly caressing the back of her neck. He leaned down and kissed her hairline. "Good or bad, it doesn't matter. What matters is that it's all because of how I've treated you."
Rachel and Melissa emerged from the restroom and saw the scene. Rachel's face remained expressionless, though she seemed slightly uncomfortable and turned her head away, walking straight back.
Melissa was about to make a joke but was pulled away by Rachel. As they passed by, Melissa waved at Jessica with a smile.
Jessica, still laughing with tears in her eyes, waved back at Melissa.
"Rachel, if you're in a hurry, go ahead. I'm going to talk to Ms. Jenner and Mr. Harriman," Melissa said, shaking off Rachel's hand and jogging over to Jessica.
Rachel's face darkened, and she turned and left without a word.
Melissa ran over with a smile. "You two aren't newlyweds, and you've been married for a while. It's so enviable to see you being so affectionate early in the morning."
"Where's Brent?" Jessica asked with a smile, ignoring the comment and glancing towards the cave.
Melissa replied, "He went to the men's restroom to freshen up. After we got up and saw you and Mr. Harriman weren't around, Qingqing and Debra started preparing breakfast. I saw Marshall talking to the team doctor earlier. Not sure what it was about. Is someone sick?"
"No, I've just had an upset stomach these past few days, so the doctor checked on me. It's nothing serious, just not used to the local water and food," Jessica said, linking arms with Melissa as they walked towards the cave. "What's for breakfast today?"
Melissa, a bit embarrassed by Jessica's sudden gesture, glanced back at the tall, stern Gabriel standing behind them. "Sorry, Mr. Harriman, I'm stealing your wife for a bit."
Gabriel raised an eyebrow and lifted his hand slightly, indicating he didn't mind.
Melissa turned back to Jessica and whispered, "We're having noodles for breakfast. Debra's showing off her noodle-cooking skills she's perfected over the past decade. It should be delicious. But after this meal, we'll mostly be having seafood. I was excited at first, but thinking about eating it for two days straight makes me a bit queasy."
Laughing and chatting, they walked back to find everyone busy washing up and preparing breakfast. Jessica quickly joined in, as if the morning's little episode had never happened.
She didn't notice that Gabriel, instead of going into the cave, turned and headed towards the program crew's tent where Marshall was.
