Chapter 652 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 137

After a night's sleep, everyone was busy with breakfast or heading out to find the staff for the day's recording outfits.

Jessica woke up earlier than everyone else. She took advantage of the quiet house to go upstairs to the bathroom and throw up for a bit. Although she didn't throw up much, she didn't want anyone to find out about her recent morning sickness.

After throwing up, she took a shower and brushed her teeth. When she came out, she saw Gabriel already awake, standing by the window in their bedroom, waiting for her.

The sunlight streaming in from the window cast a shadow on Gabriel's tall, lean figure. Hearing the bathroom door open, he turned his head to look at her and walked over. "You threw up again?"

"Yeah, but it's no big deal. I just feel queasy in the mornings. Probably just a pregnancy thing."

Gabriel raised his hand to touch her slightly damp forehead from the shower and noticed her hair was still wet. "You came out without drying your hair?"

Jessica smiled and, taking advantage of the fact that no one else was around, leaned into her husband's arms and said, "I didn't want to hog the bathroom in case someone else needed it. But since no one else is up yet, could you help me dry my hair?"

She blinked at him, clearly used to Gabriel's indulgence.

At home, Gabriel often helped her dry her hair, and even their daughter Danielle's hair. He was a very hands-on dad.

Seeing her unabashedly asking for help, Gabriel smiled, ruffled her wet hair, and said gently, "Go get the hairdryer."

"Okay!" Jessica beamed and quickly ran back to the bathroom.

"Slow down, don't trip," Gabriel called after her, shaking his head with a mix of amusement and concern.

Just as Jessica grabbed the hairdryer, Melissa knocked on the bedroom door, yawning. She saw the hairdryer in Jessica's hand and Gabriel in the room, and stopped at the door, still half-asleep. "I was thinking of freshening up. Am I interrupting?"

"No, I just finished. Go ahead before everyone else wakes up and there's a line," Jessica replied with a smile.

Seeing that Jessica and Gabriel were just freshening up and not engaged in any intimate behavior, Melissa relaxed and quickly went into the bathroom, closing the door behind her.

Gabriel took the hairdryer from Jessica and glanced at the bathroom door, clearly puzzled by Melissa's nervousness.

He didn't ask about it, though.

Jessica also glanced at the door and then turned back to Gabriel, speaking softly. "When we're all together recording, it's easy to be relaxed and friendly because there are so many people. But facing you alone, it's natural to feel some pressure. They'll get used to it."

Gabriel plugged in the hairdryer and looked at her. "Why would they feel pressure?"

"Even though everyone in the industry has money and fans, and they all seem so high and mighty, when it comes to dealing with the real power and investors, it's natural to be respectful. After all, you guys are the ones everyone has to please," Jessica said quietly.

She was telling the truth, and Gabriel was well aware of it.
