Chapter 222 Mr. Harriman Has Particularly Strong Sexual Capabilities.

Gabriel glanced at her and suddenly said in a nonchalant tone, "When will you break the habit of walking barefoot on the carpet?"

Jessica snapped back to reality, with her toes instinctively curling. She looked down and saw that she was indeed standing barefoot on the carpet again.

"I was just about to wash my face and thought there were slippers in the bathroom."

Gabriel gestured with his eyes for her to put on her shoes. Jessica quickly slipped into the bathroom. As she stood in front of the mirror, ready to wash her face, her expression suddenly froze. She stared at her open collar and then at the faint mark on her collarbone.

He said he wouldn't hold back, and he really did. He said he wouldn't restrain himself, and he really did.

Jessica forcefully turned on the faucet, the sound of rushing water filling the room. She adjusted it to the coldest setting and splashed her face while carefully avoiding the area where a bandage on her forehead.

Ten minutes later, Jessica emerged from the bathroom, freshly washed. Her clothes neatly buttoned, and foregoing any skincare products, she presented a bare, fresh face that still glistened with a touch of moisture. She walked straight past Gabriel without even glancing at him.

Her awkward and shy demeanor was quite unusual. Gabriel didn't comment on it. Instead, he gently draped a coat over her shoulders. "Let's go downstairs to the hotel restaurant for a simple breakfast, then head to the hospital."

Wrapped in Gabriel's unique scent, Jessica touched her forehead. "I don't think it's a big deal. Do we really need to see a doctor?"

"I need to make sure you haven't been knocked silly," Gabriel said mercilessly.

Jessica's mouth twitched.

With her benefactor by her side, she had no choice but to agree to go to the hospital.

Jessica pondered for a moment and decisively chose to comply, understanding her position well.

At the hospital, Jessica sat in the examination room. There weren't many medical staff around, just one doctor checking her. First, he issuing a request for a brain CT scan, then he pressed a few spots on her head with his hands. He also checked if any other parts of her body were injured. Gabriel stayed by her side the entire time, exuding the demeanor of a devoted spouse accompanying his wife for a prenatal checkup.

Except Jessica wasn't there for a prenatal checkup; she was there to see if her brain had been damaged.

After the examination, it turned out to be nothing serious, just a mild concussion. The doctor gave some advice on how to care for her external wounds and prescribed some medication. It was a thrill without the peril.

After being sent back to the Urban Oasis Hotel, Jessica suddenly realized she had been moved to a different room, from 8805 to 8806, the room Gabriel had previously stayed in.

Although the hot water heater in 8805 had been fixed, Jessica remained wary, fearing another cold icy shock every time she showered. She never felt completely at ease.

In the new room, Jessica quickly slipped into the bathroom and took a thorough shower, avoiding her wounds. Although it was a bit inconvenient, at least she felt refreshed.

This time, when she came out of the bathroom, she had wrapped her bathrobe layer upon layer, probably because Gabriel's sudden entrance last time had left a psychological shadow.

Her phone was filled with many WhatsApp messages, mostly from the crew members expressing their concern, worry, and curiosity about what had happened to her. They had heard she was in danger, and all kinds of insignificant concerns.

Jessica picked a few necessary ones to reply to, then put down her phone and picked up the script to flip through it.

When she went downstairs to the hotel restaurant for dinner that evening, Mackenzie and Zoey accompanied her. Crew members occasionally came over to greet her, still curious about what had happened to her. Mackenzie ended up turning them away.

"Tomorrow's scenes will cover the period before your college graduation, so you can have a hairstyle with bangs to cover the injury on your forehead," Mackenzie said as she handed Jessica a glass of water and sat down. "Because of Donna, the scenes in Sunshine Bay City are a bit rushed. The director plans to shoot some parts first, then go back to Xyleria to continue filming. Before wrapping up, we'll return to Sunshine Bay City to reshoot some missing scenes. Keeping everyone here in Sunshine Bay City for too long isn't feasible; it would disrupt other actors' schedules and future commitments."

Getting back to Xyleria sooner would be better; Jessica was already missing Danielle terribly.

She nodded and lowered her head to drink her soup.

Suddenly, she heard a commotion at the restaurant entrance.

Looking up, she saw a group of people walking in through the hotel's main entrance.

Although the Urban Oasis Hotel was large, the restaurant on the first floor wasn't far from the main entrance, and the transparent glass partition in between allowed a clear view of the hotel lobby.

She saw several Xyleria executives walking in, chatting and laughing. Gabriel was at the front, no longer wearing the outfit he had on when he accompanied her to the hospital in the morning. His tailored black suit and crisp trousers made him look cold and elegant, yet as upright as a jade tree.

After Jessica returned to the hotel in the afternoon, Gabriel had gone out. He wasn't in Sunshine Bay City for a vacation; he had a lot of work to do. He hadn't slept all night because of her, and today he seemed to have attended meetings, but he looked quite energetic. If it weren't for the fact that Jessica knew he hadn't rested last night, most people really couldn't tell it.

"Are the executives of Xyleria City also staying at the Urban Oasis Hotel?" a young actress at the next table whispered. Her voice sounded quite young.

While the hotel provided dinner, many actors preferred dining out. Only a select few chose to eat inthe hotel, so the restaurant wasn't particularly crowded. Conversations at the next table could be heard clearly.

"You just noticed. Only a few are staying here; it seems the rooms are full," another young actress at the same table whispered back.

"I'm not a lead actress. My scenes start tomorrow. I just arrived in Sunshine Bay City these last couple of days. I heard some executives ofm Xyleria City were here but didn't expect them to be staying at this hotel."

The two actresses whispered for a while. Since it was a buffet dinner, they got up to get food and continued their conversation out of earshot.

When they returned, Jessica overheard one of them say, "I heard they're moving to a different place tomorrow. They might go to the Eastern Development Zone, where there's another nice hotel. It's so far away; they definitely won't come back to stay at the Urban Oasis Hotel."

"Did I miss my chance? I was hoping for a romantic encounter with Mr. Harriman."

"We missed our chance long ago. I just arrived yesterday. I heard it was lively at the resort a few days ago, but Mr. Harriman is far beyond our reach."

"Dreams are what life's about. I love those cold, domineering CEOs, just like how they are written in novels. Men who seem cold have particularly strong sexual capabilities."

Hearing this, Jessica suddenly choked on her soup.

The young actress at the next table said, "See, even Ms. Jessica agrees with me."
