Chapter 463 Let Gabriel Show His Face in Front of the Camera

Jessica didn't catch a wink last night because Gabriel kept her up. The price for having him hold sparklers for a few photos was being thoroughly exhausted in bed.

Now, whenever he got close, she instinctively wrapped herself in the blanket to hide, but Gabriel would pull her back, kissing her until she begged for mercy before finally letting her go.

If he didn't have a meeting with a partner this morning and a ton of work to do, he probably wouldn't have let her off so easily.

Jessica couldn't help herself. She raised her hand and deliberately tugged his tie askew while he was kissing her, then kicked at him.

Gabriel caught her ankle with one hand and adjusted his tie with the other, his voice hoarse, "I have a meeting to attend. You stay in the hotel and rest well today. Don't wander around alone."

After saying that, he lifted Jessica from the tightly wrapped blanket and whispered in her ear, "We didn't use protection last night."

Hearing this, Jessica blushed and awkwardly wrapped her arms around his neck, whispering, "It's been almost a month since we got our marriage license, and you haven't used any protection either."

Despite saying that, in the beginning, he did care about her feelings and respected her wishes. He was cautious, not knowing if she wanted to have another child. Although he didn't use protection, he exercised restraint.

Since the Harriman family dinner, Jessica hadn't shown any resistance to the idea of having another baby. In fact, she beamed when she heard that Danielle, being a girl, would be a great sister. Even though she didn't say it out loud, it was clear she was looking forward to having another child.

Jessica did feel that Danielle would be too lonely growing up alone. Even though many people loved Danielle, having a sibling would be better for her.

Although Jessica was still working in the entertainment industry, she had turned down many roles recently and was gradually transitioning, so she didn't have to worry about her career. So, she no longer needed to avoid having another child.

Realizing this, Gabriel had been more passionate every night since the Harriman family dinner, often keeping her up until dawn.

After Gabriel left, Jessica took a bath in the bathroom.

She came out with a towel wrapped around her head, sitting in the hotel room, looking at the two roses in the glass vase on the round table by the window.

She took a photo of the roses and posted it on Facebook without any description.

Although Gabriel told her to rest well in the hotel, she decided to explore because it was quite large, and it was still morning. The private beach and the pool downstairs were not crowded. After having some breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Jessica spent the whole day leisurely.

She bought a beautiful float and soaked in the pool for a while, then went to the beach to sunbathe. By the afternoon, she was lazily lying on a lounge chair, half asleep, with her phone tossed aside for a long time.

When she finally remembered to check her phone, it was already past two in the afternoon. She had spent most of the day in leisure.

She saw several voice messages and missed calls from Mackenzie on Facebook.

Mackenzie said, "Lynn's checking out the profiles of the new artists we just signed and wants to get them some exposure. The best way for you to help is to mentor them. You're still a big name in the industry. Just showing up on a few shows with them, even for a few minutes, would get them noticed."

Mackenzie went on, "We know you want to move behind the scenes, and if 'Shadow Kill' wins an award, it'll be a dream come true for you. But the studio needs to keep running, and you're one of the investors. Its future is tied to you. Even if you don't love being on variety shows, I still think you should join a few good ones to help these newcomers."

Mackenzie added, "I've talked to several variety show directors who are really interested in having you on. They're cool with you bringing the studio's newcomers too. You can either ask for a fixed fee or a share of the show's revenue. The newcomers will earn less, but it's important for their future."

Mackenzie said, "I've sent you the info on those variety shows. Check it out, and if you're interested, we need to start making connections."

Mackenzie asked, "Where are you? You haven't replied in ages. Don't tell me you've gone on vacation and forgotten about the studio. Remember, you're one of the bosses too!"

Jessica quickly replied to Mackenzie after listening to the voice messages, "Got it. I'll look over the info and get back to you later."

Mackenzie must have been waiting for Jessica's reply for a while because she responded almost immediately, "I think the couple's variety show is a great option. Mr. Harriman never appears in the media, and his mystery is very appealing to the audience. The show's sponsor is Harriman Entertainment. If we can get their big boss to appear, even as a guest for two or three episodes, it would attract a lot of attention and boost your and the studio's newcomers' popularity."

Mackenzie added, "You know better than anyone that Mr. Harriman, even though he's in the business world, has a fan base that rivals those of young celebrities. If Mr. Harriman could join you for a few episodes, it would be a huge benefit. Harriman Entertainment is also an investor, so the show's revenue would go to Harriman Group. Why not talk to Mr. Harriman and see if he can join you?"

Jessica was already looking at the info, her eyes scanning the details of the couple's variety show. She first checked the investment shares.

Harriman Entertainment held a substantial 67% of the investment. If the show did well, the profits would be huge. If Gabriel appeared on the show, he'd earn both the show's salary and the company's profits, a double win. Although Gabriel didn't need her to earn money, Jessica thought it was a great deal.

However, getting Gabriel to appear on camera wasn't simple.

Given his principles, she needed to discuss it with him rather than decide on her own.
