Chapter 445 Gabriel's Love for His Wife Confirmed
Lynn and Zoey peered out from the car and exchanged a sigh. ""I never thought Mr. Harriman had it in him."
Jessica, still a bit out of it, turned to them and asked, "Had what in him?"
Lynn just raised an eyebrow and stayed quiet, while Zoey clicked her tongue. "Laying it on thick, right here on set."
Jessica always thought Gabriel was protective, but she couldn't wrap her head around him flaunting their relationship.
But then, she saw it.
Gabriel stepped out of the car, standing tall and casual with one hand resting on the car door. His eyes were already on Jessica's trailer, looking at her with a calm expression. It was clear he had come straight from the office to pick her up.
Not wanting Gabriel to be the center of attention, Jessica quickly walked over. As she got closer, she glanced at the car and whispered, "Mr. Harriman, I thought we were keeping things low-profile?"
Gabriel didn't answer right away. He just gave a calm look to the onlookers. When Jessica was close enough, he pulled her into his reach, his voice gentle. "Picking up my wife from work is perfectly normal. What's that got to do with being low-key?"
Gabriel always seemed to handle everything so smoothly.
Jessica suddenly felt there was nothing wrong with it. Their relationship wasn't a secret, and he was just picking her up to go home.
She glanced at the car again. "New ride?"
Gabriel chuckled, "Yeah, new car for you."
Jessica quickly stepped out of his embrace, acting like nothing happened, and walked around to the passenger side, opening the door and getting in.
Once Gabriel got in and closed the door, shutting out everyone's view, Jessica leaned over and urgently said, "Why such an expensive car? My little Audi was perfectly fine!"
"I remember someone saying they wanted to try driving a Bentley," Gabriel said, wrapping his arm around her waist and lifting her from the passenger seat.
As soon as Jessica was on his lap, she instinctively looked outside. The car was parked in a spot where the windows were tinted, and no one could see inside. She relaxed, sitting on his lap, her hand clutching his jacket, and glanced at her little Audi. "I was joking. If I scratch or dent this car, I'd be heartbroken."
"It's insured. You don't need to worry about it. Taking care of yourself is more important."
Gabriel's voice was low and smooth.
Without the new car, Jessica wouldn't have thought about it, but now that it was right in front of her, it would be a waste not to try it out.
"Can I drive?" Jessica asked, noticing the interior had been thoughtfully customized.
In her Audi, she had replaced all the leather seats with fabric because she often took Danielle out, and the fabric was more comfortable for her. She had gotten used to it.
Gabriel had already made the same changes in this car, showing just how thoughtful and considerate he was.
"Sure, you drive."
The people who had been quietly watching saw the two get into the car and gradually dispersed, but then they suddenly saw both of them get out from the driver's side.
"Wait, didn't Jessica just walk around to the other side? How did she end up getting out with Gabriel from the same side? What happened in those few minutes inside the car?" they erupted.
However, upon closer inspection, Gabriel's clothes were neat, and Jessica looked the same. The night breeze blew her hair, which she hadn't tied up after removing her makeup, and she looked normal, not like anything had happened in the car. But from a distance, Jessica's eyes seemed to sparkle with happiness, like a woman pampered by her husband, radiating joy from head to toe.
It seemed the rumors among the young actors were indeed false. Gabriel's affection for his wife had been proven again.
At this time, they should head back to the house at Star Tower to pack. After visiting the Harriman family a few days ago, Michael suggested Jessica move in with them. Although the environment there was nice, it was far from her studio and the filming locations.
But Michael and Seraphina insisted on personally picking up Danielle from kindergarten every day, so Jessica gave them Caroline and Olivia's numbers for easier contact.
Growing up in the Jenner household had felt rootless. Only in recent years, with Danielle, had she experienced a sense of home. Most of the time, they lived in rented houses abroad. The old apartment she bought later was sold, and for the past two years, she had been renting an apartment near Star Tower without buying a new house.
But now, she seemed to have multiple options: the Harriman family estate, Blue Bay Apartments, and the house Michael secretly told her he had prepared for Gabriel. Although she didn't know when Gabriel planned to get married, it was ready. Michael even gave her the address and keys. It was a villa near the Harriman family estate, but still a bit far from her studio.
So Jessica hadn't had a chance to see it yet.
But these were all homes. Theirs. Hers, Gabriel's, and Danielle's.
"Where to? The estate or Blue Bay Apartments? I want to go back to pack my things first. Danielle will be staying at the estate for now, so we can't go back to Star Tower. We have a lot of stuff there," Jessica said as she drove out of the parking lot, planning to head back.
Gabriel sat calmly in the passenger seat. The Bentley was indeed more spacious than her Audi. His tall and straight figure sat comfortably. He suddenly handed her his phone. "Go here."
Jessica glanced at the screen. It was a navigation route already set up.
The map was zoomed in, so she couldn't see the exact location, but the route and distance weren't far from her studio and the set.
"Where are we going?" she asked, placing the phone in the holder and following the navigation.
Gabriel: "Home."
Jessica was surprised. "What?"
