Chapter 690 Sweet Extra - Couple Variety Show 175
Kevin's protective gesture wasn't obvious, but Amy, standing behind him, could feel it clearly.
She didn't say anything, just looked at her hand held by Kevin, a sweet smile quietly forming at the corner of her mouth. But when Kevin turned to look at her, she quickly forced her expression back to neutral and discreetly shifted her gaze to the "corpse" in the kitchen.
Amy was looking at the corpse, but Hugo had also moved in that direction.
Kevin said, "We've already spent a lot of time here. We've seen everything we need to see. Let's go back to our rooms and grab something to eat. We can't be starving all morning."
"Yeah, let's head back. There's no point in staring at a prop corpse all day," Clayton urged everyone to leave the scene.
"Earlier, we all discussed our alibis. Shouldn't we search each other's rooms too? The production team didn't mention this beforehand, and we haven't put away the clothes we changed out of. It's not very convenient," Melissa said, looking at the director. "Are we going to film in the rooms later?"
"The rooms were filmed before you moved in yesterday. But for the sake of the investigation, the camera crew will follow you into your rooms later to capture any changes or new details. If there are things you don't want filmed, tidy up a bit and explain what they are. We need to be thorough since the killer managed to murder our chef without anyone noticing, while everyone was on the first floor. This is no ordinary criminal, and we can't afford to be careless," Marshall explained as he assigned numbers to the camera crew.
The guests had no choice but to follow the plan and prepare to return to their rooms.
Since there were about a dozen guests plus the camera crew, the elevator couldn't fit everyone at once, especially with the space needed for filming. They had to split into three groups.
Amy and Kevin chose to ride the elevator with Jessica and Gabriel. Elise wanted to join them, but Kevin glanced at Hugo, and Hugo quickly pulled Elise towards another elevator.
"Hey, what are you doing? There's still room with Ms. Jenner," Elise protested, trying to shake off Hugo.
Hugo's mouth twitched, and he whispered to her, "Marshall gave me a tough task. Didn't you see Mr. Martinez's hostile look?"
Elise rolled her eyes dramatically. "His hostile look is aimed at you, not me. Why am I stuck with you? You annoyed me enough in school, and now we're tied together in this show. What did I do to deserve this?"
Before she could finish complaining, the elevator doors opened. Hugo pushed her inside, and Elise's grumbling continued until the doors closed.
Meanwhile, Jessica's elevator reached the first floor. As they stepped inside, Jessica asked, "What do you think? Who's the most suspicious?"
Amy raised her hand to her nose, hesitating. "It's hard to say with so many doubts, but I still think Clayton is the most suspicious."
