Kevin heard the call and headed over to the director. After tidying up the hall and delegating tasks to others, Gabriel quietly followed him out.
Since there was no rush, Kevin walked at a leisurely pace. Gabriel's steps were also unhurried, and by the time they exited the villa's courtyard, they were walking side by side.
Both men were tall and lean, though Kevin's frame was more slender due to the demands of being on camera, making him ideal for playing fresh-faced leading men. Gabriel, on the other hand, had a perfectly balanced physique that drew attention wherever he stood.
Kevin turned his head and greeted politely, "Mr. Harriman, shall we go together?"
Gabriel didn't look at him, his face expressionless. He slowed his pace slightly, casually slipping one hand into his pocket, and walked shoulder to shoulder with Kevin.
Kevin raised an eyebrow but said nothing more, heading straight towards the director.
"What do you think about Amy Martinez these days?" Gabriel suddenly asked, his voice calm and measured, each word clear and deliberate, carrying an undertone of warning.
Amy's full name was Amy Martinez. Gabriel rarely interacted with her, finding her erratic and childish, and he never used her stage name.
Kevin paused at the mention of Amy Martinez, turning to meet Gabriel's gaze. The two men, who were of similar heights, locked eyes for a brief moment.
Kevin studied Gabriel for a while. Perhaps it was Gabriel's silent yet commanding presence that compelled him to speak honestly, or maybe it was because Gabriel, being somewhat of a mentor to Amy, had the right to inquire about such matters.
Gabriel's tone was polite; he was asking, not interrogating.
Kevin glanced towards the villa in the distance and said seriously, "Mr. Harriman, to be honest, my situation is quite awkward."
Gabriel didn't spare him any sympathy, chuckling coldly, "It is indeed awkward. I feel embarrassed for you."
Kevin laughed at himself, "Well, to be frank, I was genuinely sincere about Ms. Jenner back then."
Gabriel wasn't surprised, giving him a cool look, "There are plenty of men who want to pursue Jessica. You're not the first, and you won't be the last. No need to make yourself known."
Kevin laughed outright, "I'm not trying to make myself known. Just giving you a heads-up, Mr. Harriman. It's rare to have a proper chat with you; you usually don't give me the chance."
Gabriel remained silent, his gaze steady.
"I've moved on from Ms. Jenner. Your family is happy, and Ms. Jenner never had any interest in me beyond a professional relationship. Now, she's trying to set me up with Amy. I know Ms. Jenner is decisive in matters of the heart and never gave me a chance, but she's actually very kind. She wants me to find someone suitable, and maybe it's time I settled down." Kevin smiled softly, "Amy is a good girl. Since she returned from abroad, she's often been in the same projects as me. She even organized fan support for me when she was overseas. I've heard my colleagues joking about it for a while now."
