Chapter 265 Just How Intimate

Fiona suffered losses continuously today and couldn't hold it in any longer. She got up and followed Jessica to the restroom.

However, before she got there, she saw the cold and handsome Gabriel standing there. Gabriel's every move exuded a calm demeanor. Just a faint glance from him brought a clear sense of oppression.

Fiona quickly stopped in her tracks, feeling stifled but unable to vent. With Gabriel there, she couldn't and didn't dare to do anything.

In the end, she could only retreat silently, not even wanting to give a forced polite greeting. She left the restaurant in a fit of anger.

When Jessica came out of the restroom and saw that Fiona had already fled, she couldn't help but laugh when she noticed the small table with the partition still closed.

As they walked out of the restaurant, Jessica felt a sudden sense of relief and satisfaction.

Thinking about how she had made Fiona spend nearly three hundred thousand dollars on that bag, Jessica knew Gabriel didn't care about the money, but saving where she could make her feel great.

Since leaving the restaurant, Jessica had maintained a smile on her face.

When she realized she was happily pulling Gabriel towards the parking lot across the street, she didn't care about the looks of people around them. She was even holding his hand quite intimately.

Gabriel's hand was cool yet warm, especially comforting in the harsh winter.

Even though Jessica had never been in love before, she knew how intimate it was to hold his hand like this.

Staying at his apartment these days, using her fever and illness as an excuse, she hadn't thought about facing everything with Gabriel directly. But everything seemed so natural now, as if something had already taken root and sprouted in her heart, intertwining deeply, making it impossible to ignore.

Jessica didn't rush to pull her hand back after realizing it, and Gabriel clearly didn't give her the chance to withdraw it either, naturally holding her wrist and clasping her hand in his palm.

She suddenly looked up and saw Gabriel looking at her meaningfully. When she looked up, his refined eyebrows moved slightly. "Are you happy now?"

Back at Blue Bay Apartments, Nicholas said he would sleep on the couch, but the dozens of shopping bags delivered from the mall were all over the couch, taking up his sleeping space.

Jessica thought it was a good time to visit Danielle, who was still awake. She decided to take the bags to the thirty-first floor and see her little darling Danielle.

Of course, to avoid cross-infection from the flu, she couldn't kiss her through a mask.

The items were bought for Jessica, so Gabriel didn't mind her taking them to the thirty-first floor.

When she brought the bags up, Danielle was indeed still awake, and they rolled around on the couch, laughing.

Caroline saw Jessica wearing a mask and asked, "Still not over the cold?"

"Almost better, but just in case, I'll wear the mask for a couple more days." Jessica said, stroking Danielle's soft hair, "Did Danielle go back to preschool after she got better?"

"Yes, but there aren't many kids at the preschool lately. Many adults and children have colds, and they check temperatures and disinfect everyone entering."

"Better to be cautious, to avoid getting sick again." Jessica held Danielle, reluctant to let go. Danielle seemed to have eaten a lot of good food these days, feeling a bit chubbier and more cuddly.

But since she still had a cold, she had to be careful and wait until she was fully recovered to come back.

Just as they were having a hard time parting, Nicholas suddenly sent her a WhatsApp message.

Nicholas: [Michael is here. Do you want to come up and join the fun?]

Jessica replied in surprise: [Grandpa Harriman? When did he arrive? Is he on the thirty-second floor now?]

Nicholas: [Five minutes ago, right at the door.]

In that case, Jessica decided not to go to the thirty-second floor.

If Michael misunderstood that she and Gabriel had been living together for a long time, this might not seem appropriate in the eyes of the older generation.

Of course, she deliberately ignored the fact that Michael really wanted a great-grandchild.

But what on earth did Nicholas do that was so outrageous or unforgivable that Michael got so angry, kicked him out of the house, and then came to Blue Bay Apartments to find him?

It seemed like there might be some drama on the thirty-second floor tonight.

She decided to stay on the thirty-first floor and not go up.

Jessica: [Haha! Good luck to you, I'm not coming up!]

Then, she curbed her schadenfreude and sent a WhatsApp message to Gabriel.

Jessica: [You guys handle your family matters first. I'll rest on the thirty-first floor.]

Two minutes later, Gabriel replied: [Okay]

"Charles II" had been airing for a week, and its ratings and online platform views had broken the annual record for fantasy dramas within a week.

Even though the character of the female lead, Deborah, was not very well-developed, the audience for fantasy dramas was generally young, and both the male and female leadsd attracted many young student fans who were very enthusiastic, constantly voting and ranking on Facebook.

Jessica also gained many fans, who focused more on her reputation, her impressive fight scenes, her acting skills, and the storyline of her character, Katrina. Her fan base was notably rational.

With so many new fans, conflicts between fan groups were inevitable.

In just a few days, Deborah's fans had reportedly gone to Jessica's Facebook to leave nasty comments, and Jessica's fans had retaliated, each side cleaning up their idol's comments, voting, and praising them daily.

Just when everyone thought the battle between the female lead and the second female lead would continue for a long time and that Jessica and Deborah would become long-term rivals in the industry.

Suddenly, a trending topic caught everyone's attention.

#Jessica Trinity#

Jessica wasn't surprised by this trending topic.

But Mackenzie, Zoey, and the entire studio, including her agency, were shocked.

Jessica had a scene in the show where she performed a sword dance in her sect, combining swordplay with classical dance. It was her only action scene in the show that combined swordplay with dance.

The martial arts director had originally planned to arrange a different dance for her, but after seeing Jessica perform once, he let her continue with it without considering whether the dance had been seen somewhere before.

In the trending topic, there was a heated discussion.

Why did Jessica's dance look so similar to the one performed by the Best Actress Trinity in the movie "Red Cavalier" five years ago?
