Jessica stood next to him, staring at the phone screen. "I thought Kimberly was just some girl secretly in love with you, who'd maybe cry to your parents if she was upset. If I saw her again at the Harriman family events, she'd be unkind, and that'd be it. But I didn't expect her to target a six-year-old and shift all the conflict onto a child."
Gabriel didn't say a word. The next second, he acted like the screenshots on Jessica's phone didn't exist, handed the phone back to her, and took her hand to lead her back to the bedroom.
"I'll handle it. You go take a bath." Once in the room, Gabriel nodded towards the bathroom while picking up his own phone.
Honestly, if Jessica wanted to fight back directly, she had plenty of legit ways to clear things up.
But Kimberly was Gabriel's adopted sister. Even though she didn't see her as Gabriel's real sister, she still had to consider his parents' feelings. She couldn't just go after Kimberly or fight back on Instagram. This was something she couldn't solve without Gabriel, and letting him handle it was the best move.

Like those marketing accounts said, anything related to Gabriel and Jessica lately was causing a stir. Even though Gabriel wasn't in showbiz, his status, mystery, and looks made him a hot topic, even more than top-tier celebs.
She searched for the trending topic and saw someone was definitely stirring the pot. All the posts were pushing the idea that Gabriel might really have a fiancée and that Jessica had somehow schemed her way into becoming his wife. Jessica was so young, yet her kid was already six, leading to all kinds of wild theories.
There were already a lot of people doubting whether Jessica had really come between some great love story.

Jessica leaned back in the bathtub, planning to check the comments on Kimberly's Instagram when she suddenly saw her Instagram notifications skyrocket alarmingly.
