Chapter 615 Sweet Extra - Couple Variety Show 100
Jessica stayed with Debra as they brought out the freshly cooked noodles, calling everyone to come and eat. Cindy quickly grabbed the disposable utensils she had specifically requested from the production team and helped distribute the noodle soup and noodles.
"Let's have noodles for breakfast today. Jessica also made two side dishes for everyone, using the vegetables I secretly packed yesterday. I bought them at a highway rest stop, so I'm not sure how they taste, but they smell amazing," Debra said with a smile, helping to hand out chopsticks.
"Man, it smells awesome. The noodles smell great, and the veggies smell great too!" Brent said, taking two big bites and nodding in satisfaction. He turned to Melissa and said, "Melissa, we should try making these noodles at home. They're simple and delicious!"
Melissa glanced at the pot of noodle soup, mentally noting a few ingredients, and nodded. She took a bite and her eyes lit up.
Someone else tried Jessica's other stir-fried vegetable dish. Since there wasn't much food they could secretly bring to the island, Cindy had found these edible greens on a small grassy area outside the cave. Jessica had brought plenty of seasonings, so she could easily stir-fry them into a dish.
"Ms. Jenner, you and Mr. Harriman probably have a cook or live-in help at home, right?" Melissa said after swallowing a bite. "I've seen your cooking skills over the past few days, but I didn't expect even a simple stir-fried vegetable to be so delicious. Are you an angel? You can do everything!"
Amy, who was sitting nearby, raised an eyebrow. She wasn't a big fan of vegetables but decided to give Jessica some face and took a portion. After tasting it, she nodded and turned to say, "Mr. Martinez, do you want to try some too?"
Kevin was standing a bit farther away, about to take the portion Amy had just put in her bowl. Amy quickly used her fork to hold his fork down. "What are you doing? Why are you eating from my bowl? Isn't there more on the plate?"
"It's far," Kevin said, his gaze briefly and indifferently shifting to Lester.
Lester scoffed, pretending not to notice, and continued eating his noodles. He grabbed a bottle of water and drank, not engaging with anyone, including Rachel, who was quietly eating.
Amy didn't let Kevin have his way. She moved her bowl aside and gave up her spot to him, then turned and brought her bowl over to Jessica. She whispered, "What was Gabriel talking to the director about? I saw the director urgently calling the team for a meeting. It seemed very secretive."
Jessica glanced towards the rain shelter where the production team was gathered and saw that several key leaders were indeed having a meeting.
A female guest being pregnant was actually the most troublesome issue for the production team, especially her.
The upcoming games and tasks were uncertain in terms of how smoothly they could be completed. Gabriel could discreetly cooperate, but it was unclear what he had discussed with Marshall. He probably applied some pressure, and now it was up to Marshall and the production team to "appropriately" arrange things.
"Gabriel has a lot of influence, you know. He probably wasn't happy with some aspect of the show and casually gave some feedback. Marshall likely took it seriously, so they're having a meeting," Jessica said vaguely while eating.
Amy was surprised. "Is that so?"
She turned to look in that direction and saw Gabriel returning. As soon as their eyes met, she quickly turned and ran back to Kevin.
